摘要: Systems, methods, and apparatus for producing wellbore fluids using drill cuttings, geopolymers, and/or mine tailings, and compositions relating to the same are disclosed. The drill cuttings, geopolymers, and/or mine tailings may be used to create appropriate wellbore fluids to be used in wellbore fluid supply systems, such as spacer fluids, lead barrier fluids, tail barrier fluids. In one embodiment, the wellbore fluids result in one or more substantially impermeable barrier sheaths within the wellbore, which barrier sheaths may be cementitious or non-cementitious.

摘要: According to one or more embodiments of the present disclosure, a spacer fluid includes an aqueous fluid, a weighting agent, and a clay stabilizer consisting of one or more polyethylene polyamines having a first structure H2NCH2CH2(NHCH2CH2)xNH2, where x is an integer greater than or equal to 3. The amount of the clay stabilizer may be from 0.1 wt. % to 10 wt. % relative to the total weight of the spacer fluid. The average molecular weight of the polyethylene polyamines in the spacer fluid having the first structure may be from 200 g/mol to 400 g/mol. All of the polyethylene polyamines in the spacer fluid having the first structure may be encompassed in the clay stabilizer. Methods for cementing a casing in a wellbore using the spacer fluid are also disclosed.

摘要: An object of the present invention is to provide a salt water thickener that uniformly (favorably) disperses ultrafine cellulose fibers even in a liquid containing a salt (electrolyte). The salt water thickener comprises ultrafine cellulose fibers and a water-soluble polymer and can thereby uniformly disperse the ultrafine cellulose fibers even in a liquid containing a salt. The salt water thickener of the present invention is uniformly dispersed even in a liquid containing a salt and therefore exerts a high viscosity. The salt water thickener of the present invention can also be used as an additive for a fluid. The salt water thickener of the present invention can be used for purposes, for example, subterranean formation processing.

摘要: A wellbore servicing fluid comprises an aqueous base fluid, one or more alkali metal or alkali earth metal salts, at least one visocisifier, and a filtration control package. The filtration control package may comprise a carboxylic acid and an ethoxylated alcohol compound. Alternatively, the filtration control package may comprise a polyethylene glycol. The carboxylic acid may have from 8 to 20 carbon atoms. The ethoxylated alcohol compound may have a general formula R—(OCH2CH2)X—OH, where R is a hydrocarbon having from 10 to 16 atoms and x is an integer from 6 to 9. The ethoxylated alcohol compound may have a hydrophilic-lipophilic balance of from 8.0 to 16.0. The polyethylene glycol may have a mass average molar mass (Mw) of less than or equal to 1500 daltons.
