    摘要: A switch for a track of a maglev train is provided. The switch comprises a front main track beam and a rear switching track beam. The rear switching track beam comprises a central fixed track beam and a middle mobile track beam; the front main track beam can switch between a straight track and a bent track by bending; the central fixed track beam is a fixed track beam; and the middle mobile track beam can move parallelly between the straight track and the bent track. The imposed deformation length and driving weight of the switch is minimised by providing the middle mobile track beam, and the required track switching time is shortened.

The levitation force being spread over the length of capsule, however substantially concentrated in a compact cross-sectional area. At least a pair of permanent magnetic elements mounted at the top and bottom of the evacuated tube to levitate the capsule. At least a pair of capsule based switchable diverge force elements cooperate with at least a pair of tube based diverge force elements to steer the capsule while in an interchange.

    摘要: A switch is used, at the divergent zone, to cause the vehicle bogie to follow one path or the other in the guideway. This is accomplished by substituting an attracting magnetic array on the side that the vehicle bogie is desired to follow. The switch may operate without moving parts, so there is no inertial penalty to limit operational frequency. The switch is designed to fail gracefully in the absence of activation power or control signals. Further, the switch is designed to ensure that there would be no derailment or dropping of a vehicle.

    摘要: A railway switch has a rightward switch position for coupling a track with a right track and a leftward switch position for coupling the track with a left track. Each track has a right rail and a left rail. The switch has a first or right rail of the rightward switch position, a second or left rail of the rightward switch position, a third or right rail of the leftward switch position and a fourth or left rail of the leftward switch position. The switch includes a turning segment whose carrier member supports the second and third rails and is rotatable through 90.degree.. The first and fourth rails are shiftably supported by respective switch tongues. The turning segment and the switch tongues are each movable into first and second positions. In the first position the first and second rails are in an operative state and the third and fourth rails are in a withdrawn, inoperative state, whereas in the second position the third and fourth rails are in an operative state and the first and second rails are in a withdrawn, inoperative state.

    摘要: A suspended railway employs a suspension rail provided with two runway rails upon which respectively ride the first and second traveller wheel sections of a traveller from which a railway car, or the like, is suspended. A railway switch for the suspension rail has a stem section and two branch sections. Each of the two runway rails of the stem section also forms the outer runway rail of a respective one of the two branch sections. Each of the two branch sections furthermore has a respective inner runway rail. The inner runway rails of the two branch sections define together with the outer runway rails a switch gap over which one of the traveller wheel sections crosses unsupported as the traveller crosses the switch gap, so that in crossing the switch gap the traveller exhibits a tendency to tilt in a first direction towards the unsupported side of the traveller. An arrangement is provided for positively causing the traveller to tilt in the opposite second direction when crossing the switch gap to assure that upon the completion of the crossing of the switch gap the unsupported traveller wheel section will not be below the level of the runway rail onto which it is about to come into contact.

    摘要: A suspended railway system utilizing a magnetic guide for vehicles and at least a support beam which is partly enclosed by the vehicle as a support member along the path of travel. The suspended railway system has, in the area of a switch, at least three support beams which are tapered on one side toward the central portion of the switch and terminate at the central portion. A first support beam extends from the switch entrance into the central portion of the switch and is arranged between the remaining two support beams. The remaining two support beams extend from the central portion of the switch to the switch exit. The switching function from one path of travel to another path of travel is accomplished by electromagnetic principles.

    摘要: The invention provides in some aspects a transport system comprising a guideway with a plurality of propulsion coils disposed along a region in which one or more vehicles are to be propelled. One or more vehicles are disposed on the guideway, each including a magnetic flux source. The guideway has one or more running surfaces that support the vehicles and along which they roll or slide. Each vehicle can have a septum portion of narrowed cross-section that is coupled to one or more body portions of the vehicle. The guideway includes a diverge region that has a flipper and an extension of the running surface at a vertex of the diverge. The flipper initiates switching of vehicle direction at a diverge by exerting a laterally directed force thereon. The extension continues switching of vehicle direction at the diverge by contacting the septum. Still other aspects of the invention provide a transport system, e.g., as described above, that includes a merge region with a flipper and a broadened region of the running surface. The flipper applies a lateral force to the vehicle to alter an angle thereof as the vehicle enters the merge region, and the broadened region continues the merge by contacting the septum of the vehicle, thereby, providing further guidance or channeling for the merge. The flipper, which can be equipped for full or partial deployment, is partially deployed in order to effect alteration of the vehicle angle as the vehicle enters the merge.
