    摘要: A monorail switching arrangement is disclosed for switching the travel of a vehicle to either a continued-travel monorail section or a change-of-direction switched-travel monorail section, characterized by the provision of a plurality of vertically-displaceable horizontal switching wheels arranged on opposite sides of the first monorail section for displacement between upper and lower positions in alternate engagement with pairs of continued-travel and switched-travel control tracks mounted on opposite sides of the monorail, respectively. In one embodiment, the switching wheels are vertically displaceable relative to the chassis, and in a second embodiment, the chassis and the switching wheels are vertically displaceable as a unit relative to the vehicle support wheels and the monorail.

    摘要: In the magnetic suspension railway disclosed, electrically-controlled carrier magnets, located on opposite sides under a railway car and coupled to two stationary magnetic carrier rails levitate the car. Electrically controlled, guide magnets, fixed under the car on both sides, guide the car between magnetic guide rails. The carrier and guide magnets for each side of the car are mounted on two mounts extending longitudinally underneath the car and facing the support and guide rails. Guiding the car onto one path or the other through a switch area at a fork is accomplished by deactivating only the guide magnets on one side of the car. At the switch area fixed support magnets in one of two rows between the rails appear above the one of an auxiliary rail projecting from the mount holding the deactivated guide magnet. The auxiliary rail is displaced from the vertical relative to the electromagnetic row into a magnetically asymmetrical position. This produces a lateral force counteracting the excess force produced by the still activated guide magnet.

A refinement shows stretches of rails at an intermediate spacing, along which the car may be supported and driven by both sets of wheels, for high-speed operation.

As a result of traversing the apparatus in specific patterns, the human brain will process alphabetic and numeric symbols more efficiently. This is especially important in the development of early childhood learners. The educational importance for the invention is based upon brain research findings that support the link of sensory motor development and increased learning capacity.
