摘要: An arch building structure includes a plurality of structural arch assemblies, a plurality of purlins, and a plurality of flat roofing sections. The plurality of structural arch assemblies is positioned parallel and offset from each other upon the length of the building. The plurality of purlins is positioned perpendicular to the plurality of structural arch assemblies and radially positioned on the vertexes of the plurality of structural arch assemblies to further strengthen the building. Each of the plurality of flat roofing sections is mounted across a corresponding pair of adjacent purlins from the plurality of purlins so that the building roof can be completed.

摘要: A building truss including a structural floor element, a vertical support on each side of the structural floor element, rafters spanning the vertical supports, a structural horizontal tie which interconnects the rafters, and a roof peak on the horizontal tie. A building is constructed by erecting multiple trusses parallel to each other in sequence in a longitudinal direction spanning one gable end to the opposed gable end. Each building truss defines the full room and roof spaces and provides the required structural strength. Each truss defines a 2D envelope; the floor element spanning in the horizontal direction, vertical supports for the vertical direction, and a roof assembly joining the two vertical supports. Each truss is unitary and constructing the multiple trusses parallel to each other provides a 3D structural building envelope.

摘要: The invention provides load-resisting segments (e.g., panels or frames for openings) for transmitting loads through a building structure. In the context of a wall, the load-resisting segments transmit shear loads downward to structural elements below the wall, such as to a building foundation. The load-resisting segments may comprise a truss configuration, i.e., an assembly of members forming a rigid framework. Each load-resisting segment can include web members and pairs of truss plates secured to sides of the segment to secure connections of the web members to each other and to other members. The wall segments can include beam-separation blocks that reduce truss plate failure by spacing apart the ends of two web members bearing against a chord or post to position the intersection point of the load paths of the web members with the load path of the chord or post. Some of the truss plates can include strips of material to provide additional resistance to tearing of the truss plate due to loads experienced by the truss plate. Some of the load-resisting segments, particularly frames for doors or windows, may include compression plates that prevent point-loading of studs or chords against transversely oriented members. For example, a truss frame may include compression plates between ends of its columns and surfaces of a header or sill structure.

摘要: A frame material that can be easily formed as a pillar or beam by appropriately adjusting the length and/or strength thereof, a joint portion of which is uniform and smooth, a residual portion of which can be used as a joint, and which can easily be combined with other building materials. The frame material is formed into an elongate shape, and a cross section crossing at right angles a longitudinal axis thereof is formed into a rectangular shape with the length of a shorter side of the rectangular cross section being made one-third of the length of a longer side. The frame material comprises in combination a frame material in which a pair of through holes (5,5) are provided at a predetermined pitch on a center line (4) of a front side whose lateral width (w) is constituted by the longer side of the cross section, the hole pitch of the pair of through holes being a half of the lateral width, and a frame material in which a pair of through holes (5, 5) are provided on a line crossing at right angles the center lines at a hole pitch of a half of the lateral width in such a manner as to be symmetric with respect to the center line, and pairs of through holes are provided along the center line (4) at the predetermined pitch. In this case, the pitch of the through holes (5, 5) on the center line may be provided so as to be equal to a module dimension of a building material.

摘要: The invention relates to a prefabricated joint structure for joining an essentially wooden elongated beam (2) or similar to at least one other beam (2) over a predetermined length (A) of a relatively short joint portion (4) in the beam, the joint (1) being accomplished by pins, bolts or the like (5) penetrating the beam or beams. In each joint there are at least two jointing in a direction transverse to the main gain of the beam. The joint structure further comprises a metal nail plate (6), having a plate plane transverse to the length (T) of the jointing and whose nails (7) protrude from the plate plane and are embedded in the beam wood. On the prefabricated joint portion (4) in each beam (2), at least one single-sided nail plate (6) has been fitted against the outer surface of the beam, the width (W1) of the plate plane of the nail plates in a direction perpendicular to the main beam grain (D) being greater than the distance (W2) between the holes (15) for the two jointing (5) in this direction, and the nails (7) of the nail plates (6) being embedded in the wood nearly parallel to the jointing holes. The holes (15) in the jointing perforate the beams (2) in the area of the plate planes of the nail plates, and they have been formed both in the nail plate (6) and in the beam (2) after the nail plates have been fixed to the beam by pressing, in order to provide joint portions (4) retaining dimensional accuracy irrespective of external influences and apt for later assembly into joints (1).

摘要: In a method of post beam construction, a horizontal beam member is connected to a post member by means of a connector element interposed between the two. The connector includes an upper plate member and a lower plate member, bridged by an apertured central member that is offset from the plate members and forms a recess between same. The method includes the steps of: i) securing the connector to a post by fastening the upper and lower plates thereof to same; ii) profiling a beam by forming a channel therein dimensioned to accommodate said central member of the connector element whereby the beam will fit onto a connector element; iii) boring a first, longitudinal, hole in the beam aligned with the aperture in the central member; iv) boring a second, transverse hole in the beam, intersecting the first hole, and inserting an internally threaded connector therein; v) inserting an externally threaded connector in the first hole, into threaded connection with said internally threaded connector, whereby said externally threaded connector extends from said beam in the area of said channel, to a point not beyond the end of the beam; vi) fitting the beam on said connecting element, with the externally threaded connector extending through the aperture in said central member; and vii) threading a nut onto the externally threaded connector, in said recess, and tightening the nut, thereby to fasten said beam to said post.
