    摘要: In the case of a fuel tank (1) for a motor vehicle having a plurality of surge chambers (6, 6null) for collecting fuel, two surge chambers (6, 6null) are closed in a manner essentially forming a seal and are connected to each other. Fuel conducted by a pressure regulator (12) and by suction jet pumps (16, 16null) into the surge chambers (6, 6null) is distributed to the surge chambers (6, 6null) as required. When the surge chambers (6, 6null) are completely filled, a pressure is produced, as a result of which a further filling by the suction jet pumps (16, 16null) is avoided.

    摘要: A herbal steam device includes a closed heated boiling chamber with openings at the side for a steam outlet. A collecting chamber surrounds the upper part of the boiling chamber. Cold water from a reservoir below flows into the boiling chamber through an inflow pipe. Surplus water flows through an overflow and a backflow pipe back to the reservoir. An electrical heating plate is present under the boiling chamber, and a herb pot may be placed in the steam space above the boiling chamber. The inflow pipe runs in a curve around the boiling chamber. The steam which escapes from the openings heats up the inflowing water. At the same time, the relatively cold inflow pipe acts as a foam barrier adjacent to the openings.

    摘要: A gas-fired water heater has a combustion chamber with a bottom wall defined by a perforated flame arrestor plate forming a portion of a flow path through which combustion air may be supplied to a burner structure within the combustion chamber. During firing of the water heater a combustion air shutoff system having a heat-frangible temperature sensing structure disposed within the combustion chamber senses an undesirable temperature increase in the combustion chamber, caused by for example a partial blockage of the flow path, and responsively terminates further air flow into the combustion chamber, thereby shutting down the burner, prior to the creation in the combustion chamber of a predetermined elevated concentration of carbon monoxide.
