    摘要： A valve includes a spring with a spring force, an actuator with an actuator force which can act against the spring force, a pin which can be actuated by the actuator, a sealing element which can be coupled with the pin, and a seal seat such that the valve is closed when the sealing element rests against the seal seat. The pin can be moved in the direction of the sealing element by means of the actuator, and the pin can be moved in the direction away from the sealing element by means of the spring. The sealing element can be moved into an open position independently of the pin, wherein a fluid flow through the valve is released in the open position.

    摘要： In a fuel pump and method of operation, an infeed for low pressure fuel leads to a pumping chamber where in an intake phase low pressure fuel is drawn into the pumping chamber and in a pumping phase high pressure fuel is delivered to a common rail. An inlet metering valve and an inlet check valve are upstream of the pumping chamber, and a control system closes the metering valve when no fuel is to be pumped to the common rail. The inlet check valve is also opened while the inlet metering valve is closed and no fuel is to be pumped to the rail. The inlet metering valve can include a proportionally controlled piston that produces a variable quantity of feed fuel and is closable for the no-demand condition with a maximum travel that contacts and holds open the inlet check valve.

    摘要： A method and apparatus for controlling a solenoid actuated inlet valve to a pump chamber of a piston pump. A control circuit energizes the solenoid to open the inlet valve in synchronism with the reciprocation of the piston and thereafter de-energize the solenoid to initiate closure of the inlet valve. The inlet valve is decelerated following de-energization of the solenoid thus effectively reducing engine noise attributable to the inlet valve.
