    摘要: A vane pump comprising a cylindrical pump chamber, vanes adapted to rotate within the pump chamber, and a drive rotor arranged eccentrically with respect to the center of rotation of the vanes, such vane pump being formed with through holes in portions of opposite end walls of the drive rotor which are in spaced juxtaposed relationship with side end faces of each vane, such through holes being connected to a line for supplying therethrough a portion of the fluid discharged by the vane pump. During operation of the vane pump, the portion of the fluid discharged by the pump and supplied through the line is ejected through the through openings against the side end faces of the vanes so as to avoid collision between the end walls of the drive rotor and the side end faces of the vanes whereby the service life of the vane pump can be increased.

    摘要: This device functions as a compressor or pump when driven in rotation, and functions as an engine when driven by expansion energy. A housing encases a vane rotor mounted off center for rotation in a cylinder. The slotted rotor is constructed with vane bearing inserts retaining arcuate cast iron vane bearings adjacent the multiple vanes. Vanes are flexibly secured by vane retainers mounted on a rotatible central shaft surrounded by a bushing functioning as a bearing. Improved sealing means are incorporated encircling the rotor and at the edges of the rotor vanes. The device may be utilized as an internal combustion engine by incorporating fueling and spark means. The machine is particularly suited to be driven by expanding gases such as natural gas, air, fluorocarbon gases, or steam as a motor.

    摘要: A vane-pump or motor which includes a rotor equipped with vanes slidable within at least approximately radial slots and with an endless cam surface which surrounds the rotor and together with the same forms a sickle-shaped working space; the cam surface is so shaped that it includes a radially outwardly directed inclination with respect to a circular cam concentric to the center of rotation of the rotor which forms the suction area and in other circumferential areas, it includes a radially inwardly directed inclination, forming the discharge area; two base plates are provided which axially sealingly enclose the rotor together with the vanes and the cam ring and which axially delimit the working space or spaces; internal channels connect the suction or inlet area of the working space with the feed line and the discharge area of the working space with the discharge channel; an unobstructed working medium supply is also provided out of the channel subjected to the higher pressure level which leads to the slot bottoms of the rotor disposed in the suction or inlet area by way of flooding channels while a throttled working medium discharge exists out of the slot bottoms of the vanes disposed in the discharge area which leads to the high pressure side of the installation by way of emptying channels, which includes at least in part a by-pass by way of at least some of the slot bottoms disposed in the suction or inlet area while the flooding channels to these slot bottoms terminate in the slot bottoms in an axial location disposed downstream with respect to the connecting place of the discharge channels as viewed in the flow direction of the working medium discharge.

    摘要: An eccentric rotor vane device that may be employed as pumps, including compressors; or engines, including motors, characterized by an improved seal structure; in addition to conventional main chamber; first and second ports communicating with the main chamber; a plurality of angularly related radial vanes, independently pivotal and rotatable about a vane axis within the main chamber; a rotor that is eccentrically mounted with respect to the main chamber; and a power delivery shaft connected with the rotor. The improved seal means, in a specific embodiment, comprises cylindrical vanes guides of the rotor engaging concave faces of adjacent vanes on either side such that the vane guide is maintained in substantially uniform engagement with the vane lateral faces as it traverses radially inwardly and outwardly therealong during rotation of the rotor such that a satisfactory seal is maintained intermediate the vane guide and the vanes so that the vane guide can serve as a piston as well as an interdigitating means for effecting a change in volume of a subchamber defined intermediate the respective vanes, vane guides, and main chamber.
