摘要： An anchor bolt cap for the top ends of anchor bolts that extend upwardly out of a base foundation onto which is mounted the tower base of a wind generator that produces electricity by rotation of the blades of the wind generator. The bottom end of the tower base of the wind generator has an outer annular flange and an inner annular flange each having a plurality of apertures spaced from each around the entire periphery of the respective flanges. The anchor bolts pass upwardly through these respective apertures and have a washer and nut threaded onto each of the respective anchor bolts for locking the tower base to the top of the base foundation. The anchor bolt caps are installed over the top ends of the respective anchor bolts and prevent moisture from attacking the anchor bolts and thereby prevent corrosion of the anchor bolts.

摘要： A series of high security fastener constructions feature rotatable anti-theft shrouds mounted on locking wheel nuts and wheel bolts designed for vehicular wheels. Each construction features (1) a fastener body having a first body end adapted to accommodate a key receiving pattern or member, a second body end having thread pattern extending therefrom, and a shroud receiving portion located between the first and second body ends, (2) a shroud concentrically mounted on the shroud receiving, and (3) a shroud retaining system for retaining the shroud for rotation relative to the fastener body such that the shroud will rotate under an applied torque prior to the fastener rotating when it is installed at a design installation torque. Exemplary shroud retaining systems include (1) designs in which the shroud is retained by interference engagement of its inner side with the fastener body, (2) designs in which the shroud is retained by staking to the fastener body, and (3) designs in which the shroud is retained by first and second retaining members that are mounted on the fastener body in facing relationship with first and second annular faces of the shroud.

摘要： A theft resistant valve cap including a liner adapted for threaded engagement with a standard pneumatic tire stem valve, a sleeve rotatably mounted with the liner to shroud it and an interlocking feature to selectively prevent axial displacement between the liner and the sleeve. The interlocking feature includes a screw threaded into an aperture in the sleeve, or other coupling device, and an annular channel on the liner, positioned to receive the screw. The annular channel has an upper surface, a lower surface and an inner surface disposed between the upper and lower surfaces. The screw is moved so that it extends into the channel resting proximate to the upper surface, but clear of both said lower and inner surfaces. The screw can be removed after the valve cap has been installed. In this fashion, the liner and the sleeve are in a fixed axial position with respect to each other; however, the rotatability of the sleeve with respect to the liner is maintained, preventing removal of the liner from the stem. The rotational movement of the sleeve prevents removing the liner and/or the sleeve from the valve stem.

摘要： A decorative fastener assembly including a nut insert and a decorative cap. The cap includes a flatted portion sleeved over a flatted portion of the nut insert and further includes a flange portion proximate its open lower end. An O-ring seal is compressed between the flange of the cap and the circular enlargement of the nut insert to preclude the entry of moisture between the cap and the nut insert. A top end wall portion of the cap is welded to an annular weld projection on the top end of the nut insert in surrounding relation to the central bore of the nut insert. As the weld projection is melted to perform the welding operation, the cap moves further downwardly on the nut insert to further compress the O-ring seal between the cap flange and the circular enlargement of the nut insert. The cap flange portion proximate its open lower end is then crimped over a circular enlargement of the nut insert.
