    摘要: A hydraulic clutch assembly for a motorcycle having a handlebar, an engine, and a clutch, includes a master hydraulic cylinder assembly, a slave hydraulic cylinder assembly, and a hydraulic line adapted to communicate hydraulic fluid pressure between the two hydraulic cylinder assemblies. The master hydraulic cylinder assembly is adapted to be mounted on the handlebar of the motorcycle and it includes a clutch lever portion that is adapted to actuate the master cylinder assembly. The slave hydraulic cylinder assembly is adapted to be mounted on the engine of the motorcycle and to pull on the clutch when actuated in the place of a conventional clutch cable. The hydraulic line is adapted to communicate hydraulic fluid pressure between the master cylinder assembly and the slave hydraulic cylinder assembly so that pulling the clutch lever portion of the master hydraulic cylinder assembly actuates the slave hydraulic cylinder assembly and causes it to pull on and disengage the clutch.

    摘要: A hydraulic emergency control (10, 10a, 10b, 10c) for a hydraulically actuated clutch (14) arranged between an internal combustion engine (12) is proposed. A pump (16) driven by the internal combustion engine (12) feeds a work line (18) in which a choke (20, 20b, 20c) is arranged. A regulating valve (22, 22a, 22b, 22c) is provided for controlling the clutch (14) at least in the event of failure of the electric supply. A first control line (26) is connected by a first control input (S1) of the regulating valve (22, 22a, 22b, 22c) with the work line (18) in front of the choke (20, 20b, 20c) with respect to the feed direction. A second control line (30) is connected by a second control input (S2) of the regulating valve (22, 22a, 22b, 22c) with the work line (18) behind the choke (20, 20b, 20c) with respect to the feed direction. Through the use of a regulating valve (22, 22a, 22b, 22c), a variable control of the clutch (14) is possible also in emergency operation. In all, very few structural component parts are required for this purpose.

In the first position, a piston (66) moves out of its cavity (64) in the housing (50) and forces a plate (76a) including the piston (66) and an interface facing (80) toward an interface disc (20) while a release spring (92) located in a countersink (74) acts on a fastener (98) to move the first plate (76a) away from the interface disc (20). When flipped to the second position, the piston (66) moves out of its cavity (64) in the housing (50) and forces a second plate (76b) interconnected to the first plate (76a) away from the interface disc (20) while engaging springs (90) sandwiched in cavities (70) between the housing (50) and the first plate (76a) including the interface facing (80) force the first plate (76a) toward the interface disc (20). Thus, apparatus (10) can be assembled to be either fluid engaged or fluid released from the same components, with the use of the same components to construct rotational control apparatus (10) with different actuation methods resulting in lower component fabrication and inventory costs.

    摘要: A work vehicle configured for selectively applying power to a load and comprising a frame, a plurality of ground support devices movably secured to the frame, an engine supported by the frame, a source of hydraulic fluid at a pressure, a clutch for selectively coupling the engine to the load in response to a control signal, the clutch including a clutch actuator configured for engaging the clutch upon receipt of an actuating fluid at least a first predetermined pressure, the clutch configured to dissipate heat of engagement to a flow of a lube fluid; and a clutch control valve located intermediate the fluid source and the clutch and disposed in the path of the actuating fluid and the lube fluid. The control valve is configured to control flow of the lube fluid to the clutch to a first predetermined rate while the clutch is not engaged, to control flow of the lube fluid to the clutch to a second predetermined rate at least for a predetermined length of time prior to engagement of the clutch, and to control flow of the actuating fluid at a predetermined pressure to the clutch actuator after the flow rate of the lube fluid has been increased.

    摘要: A torque-transmitting mechanism has first and second housing members, which are interconnected by a plurality of friction members. The torque-transmitting mechanism also includes an apply piston, which has an apply head slidably disposed within one of the housings and a spring body portion, which is effective to urge the apply head out of engagement with the friction members. The apply head is urged into engagement with the friction members through the application of pressure to an apply chamber formed between the apply head, the spring body, and the one housing. Upon release of the pressure within the apply chamber, the spring body enforces retraction of the apply head and disengagement of the torque-transmitting mechanism.
