摘要: A clutch assembly includes a first shaft extending along and rotatable about a first shaft axis, and a second shaft extending along and rotatable about a second shaft axis that is parallel with the first shaft axis. The clutch assembly also includes a first friction component coupled to and rotatable with the first shaft, and a second friction component coupled to and rotatable with the second shaft. The clutch assembly additionally includes a band clutch assembly. The band clutch assembly includes a retaining band disposed about the first and second friction components, and a retaining component coupled to the retaining band. The retaining band is engageable with the first and second friction components, and the retaining band and the retaining component are rotatable with the first and second shafts during rotation of the first and second shafts.

摘要: A control device controls a torque transmission device. The torque transmission device includes an actuator that operates by being energized and a torque transmission portion that is switched to a transmission state or a non-transmission state by the actuator operating, and transmits a torque between a first transmission portion and a second transmission portion when the torque transmission portion is in the transmission state. The control device includes a target calculation unit, a mode determination unit, and a control unit. The target calculation unit calculates a target transmission torque that is a torque to be transmitted between the first transmission portion and the second transmission portion. The mode determination unit determines an operating mode among an engagement mode, a release mode, and a steady mode. The control unit controls the actuator based on the operating mode determined by the mode determination unit.

摘要: The present invention relates to a vehicle (1) having a torque generating machine (4); and one or more driven wheel (WD). A driveline (6) is provided for transmitting torque from the torque generating machine (4) to said one or more driven wheel. The driveline (6) includes a torque transmitting means (8). A first decoupling mechanism (11) is operable to decouple the torque transmitting means (8) from the torque generating machine (4). The first decoupling mechanism (11) is closed to couple the torque transmitting means (8) to the torque generating machine (4) and is opened to decouple the torque transmitting means (8) from the torque generating machine (4). A second decoupling mechanism (12) is operable to decouple the torque transmitting means (8) from the one or more driven wheel. The second decoupling mechanism (12) is closed to couple the torque transmitting means (8) to the one or more driven wheel and is opened to decouple the torque transmitting means (8) from the one or more driven wheel. A controller (2) is provided having at least one electronic processor for controlling operation of the first and second decoupling mechanisms (11, 12). The at least one electronic processor (P) is configured to close the second decoupling mechanism (12) to couple the torque transmitting means (8) to the one or more driven wheel, determine a target operating speed of the torque generating machine (4), control an operating speed of the torque generating machine (4) in dependence on the determined target operating speed and close the first decoupling mechanism (11) when the operating speed of the torque generating machine (4) at least substantially matches the determined target operating speed. The present invention also relates to a corresponding method of controlling first and second decoupling mechanisms (11, 12) to control the transmittal of torque from a torque generating machine (4) to one or more driven wheel of a vehicle (1).

摘要: Embodiments of the present invention provide a motor vehicle controller comprising a computing device, the controller being configured to command a first releasable torque transmitting device of a drive-line to switch between a released condition in which a first releasable torque transmitting device substantially prevents transmission of torque from an input to an output portion thereof, and an engaged condition in which a releasable torque transmitting device allows torque transmission from an input portion to an output portion thereof. The controller may be configured to receive information indicative of: a speed of wheels of a first axle; a speed of wheels of a second axle; and a terrain over which a vehicle is driving. The controller may be configured, in response to a detected disparity between the speed of wheels of said first and second axle when said first releasable torque transmitting device is switched to said engaged condition, in dependence upon said received information indicative of the terrain over which the vehicle is travelling, either: output a signal to automatically cause said first releasable torque transmitting device to perform a reconnect operation comprising momentarily resuming the released condition, and then subsequently resuming the engaged condition, or maintain said first releasable torque transmitting device in said engaged position.

摘要: A method for controlling engagement of a power take-off (PTO) clutch of a work vehicle may generally include transmitting, by a computing device, a control signal associated with initiating engagement of the PTO clutch, determining a clutch slippage energy generated during engagement of the PTO clutch due to clutch slippage and, while the PTO clutch is getting engaged, calculating a clutch engagement time remaining until engagement of the PTO clutch is completed based on the clutch slippage energy and a maximum clutch engagement energy associated with the PTO clutch. In addition, the method may include determining a torque command for controlling engagement of the PTO clutch as a function of the remaining clutch engagement time and controlling the engagement of the PTO clutch based on the torque command.
