    摘要: An armature rotor for an electromagnetic retarder includes at least one disk (2) made from a ferromagnetic material connected to an inner fixing ring (7) by an annulus of arms (9) forming ventilation fins, the largest diameter portions of these arms projecting axially from the face of the disk opposite the air gap (E), and the crests of these portions being joined together by an annular web (10), the assembly formed by the disk, the ring, the arms and the web being formed of a single molded block. The maximum outer diameter of the ventilation stucture formed by the arms and the web is greater than the outer diameter of the disk, considered at the level of the mean plane of this disk. Two thin collars (13 and 14) defining therebetween a groove (15) extend the two axial faces of the disk radially outwardly.

    摘要: A park brake apparatus for a vehicle electric brake comprises an electric motor having a rotational output shaft coupled to a brake mechanism. Rotational movement of the electric motor in a first direction causes application of brake force in the brake mechanism and rotational movement of the electric motor in a second direction opposite the first direction causes release of brake force in the brake mechanism. An armature for the electric motor includes a plurality of radially extending armature arms. A solenoid has a plunger movable between extended and retracted positions. In the retracted position, the plunger is free of the radially extending armature arms and the armature spins free of the plunger. In the extended position, the plunger engages the radially extending armature arms, locking the armature in place and maintaining a park brake state.

    摘要: A brake system of a vehicle includes a plurality of electromechanical brake actuators (EBAs) proximate the wheels of the vehicle. Each EBA includes a power device for effectuating braking of an associated wheel, and electronics to generate a drive signal for the power device. The brake system may further include at least one brake control unit (BCU) for converting a brake command signal into a control signal for each EBA. The electronics for each EBA may be configured to convert the corresponding control signal into the drive signal that is applied to the power device to cause movement of the power device and effectuate braking of the vehicle.

    摘要: An electrically controlled brake includes a rotatable first mechanical system and a second mechanical system that is stationary or fixed. The two systems have friction surfaces/parts that can be made to come in engagement with each other, providing a braking effect, and be withdrawn from each other releasing the braking effect. In the second system, windings can be wound around two braking shoes made from soft magnetic material so that an electric current flowing in the windings affects magnetic fluxes through the soft magnetic parts to move at least one thereof. The movement is in a direction that affects the effective width of an air gap in the closed main magnetic path. The electric current gives attraction forces over the air gap which tend to move the braking shoes to reduce the length of the air gap. A spring that e.g. can be a flat spring is rigidly mounted to inner ends of the braking shoes, creating forces on the braking shoes acting in a direction substantially opposite that of the attraction forces. The spring and the braking shoes form a unified structure that via a portion of the spring is rigidly attached to a stationary component of the brake, such as through a bar. Since the movements of the braking shoes are not performed about some shaft or articulation, there is no mechanical play in the brake.

    摘要: In an electric brake of the present invention, a plunger of an actuator is connected through a pin to a pivot arm to which an engaging pawl engageable with a tooth portion of a ratchet is pivotably attached. A lower surface (a force-receiving portion) of the pin is adapted to receive an upward force which is applied by a tool inserted through a bolt hole threadably engaged with a watertight bolt. When the parking brake is operated (the engaging pawl is engaged with the tooth portion of the ratchet), if supply of current to the coil becomes impossible, the pin is moved upward by means of the tool, to thereby separate the engaging pawl from the tooth portion. Therefore, an emergency action to release the parking brake can be manually conducted.
