摘要: An adjusting mechanism is provided for a bicycle derailleur, which can adjust a position of a chain guide in an axial direction. The derailleur basically has a base member, a movable member with the chain guide and a linkage assembly. The adjustment mechanism is preferably operatively coupled between the movable member and the chain guide, or between the base member and the frame. The adjusting mechanism includes a first tubular portion, a second tubular portion, a biasing member and an adjustment member. The second tubular portion is arranged around the first tubular portion to move axially relative to the first tubular portion via the adjustment member. The biasing member is arranged to apply an urging force on the tubular portions. One of the tubular portions has a rigid non-compressible support projection arranged to selectively contact the other tubular portion when the tubular portions move relative to each.

摘要: A derailleur for a bicycle comprises a fixing member; a transformable linkage mechanism comprising a base member, two linkage members and a movable member; and a chain guide having a guide pulley and a tension pulley. The linkage mechanism is supported swingably to the fixing member in the relation that the guide pulley reciprocates away from or toward the axis of the sprocket assembly. The derailleur is provided between the chain guide and the movable member with a first spring, between the fixing member and the linkage mechanism with a second spring for biasing the guide pulley away from the axis of sprocket assembly, and with a forcibly moving mechanism which moves the chain guide axially of the sprocket assembly and also radially thereof in a plane perpendicular to the axis of the sprocket assembly.

摘要: An automatic transmission system for a chain-driving vehicle includes a frame having a crank-driven sprocket and a drive axle with a drive wheel supported on the drive axle and a multi-speed sprocket assembly for driving the drive wheel. A continous chain drive engages the crank-driven sprocket and is engageable with each of the sprockets of the sprocket assembly. An actuating means is supported on the drive wheel spaced from the drive axle and is actuated by centrifugal force for shifting the chain to respective sprockets of the sprocket assembly in response to changes in speed of the vehicle.

摘要: A front derailleur for a bicycle having a chain guide with inner and outer plates for shifting a driving chain from one to another of at least two front chain gears. The inner plate has a swollen portion extending toward the outer plate, which urges the chain toward a larger diameter front chain gear and which is disposed between a first chain traversing position where the chain, when in the process of being shifted from a smaller diameter front chain gear to the larger diameter one, traverses the chain guide at an initial stage wherein the chain is raised by contact with the larger diameter chain gear and a second chain traversing position where the chain traverses the chain guide at the final stage wherein the chain is raised by contact with the larger diameter gear before completion of the chain shift operation.

摘要: The object of the invention is to provide a mechanism whose construction and assembly are simplified and whose cost is consequently reduced. The mechanism comprises a support device, a movable device connected to the support device in such manner as to be movable in translation relative to the support device by an actuating device. The support device and movable device are mounted on an intermediate member to pivot about respective pivot pins. The two pivot pins are parallel to each other and the intermediate member defines two cavities which are parallel and extend in a direction orthogonal to the two pivot pins. Two push-members are slidably mounted in the two cavities and the ends of the push-members are respectively in contact with two parallel surfaces. One of the surfaces is defined on the movable device and the other is defined on the fixed device.

摘要: A drive for a bicycle provided on the side of its pedals with a freewheel of two or more front chain sprockets, in which the rotational resistance of a rear multiple freewheel in its free rotation is larger than that of the front freewheel in its free rotation so that a driving chain may, even when pedalling is stopped in running of the bicycle, travel across both the front and rear freewheels for changing speed. The drive utilizes a force F.sub.1 of an energizing spring for a chain guide cage of a rear derailleur which is respectively larger than a resistance F.sub.2 applied to the chain in speed change by a front derailleur, and a rotational resistance F.sub.3 of the rear freewheel.

摘要: A multistage sprocket assembly is provided which includes at least one larger diameter sprocket and at least one smaller diameter sprocket assembled in a relationship such that the center point between a pair of adjacent teeth at the larger diameter sprocket and the center point between a pair of adjacent teeth at the smaller diameter sprocket are positioned on a tangent extending along the chain path when the chain is being shifted from the smaller diameter sprocket to the larger diameter sprocket. The distance between both the center points is equal to an integer multiple of the chain pitch. A chain guide portion is provided at the inside surface of the larger diameter sprocket and at a position corresponding to a moving path of a driving chain traveling between the aforesaid center points for allowing the chain to move axially of the sprocket assembly slightly toward the larger diameter sprocket during shifting.
