摘要: The embodiments herein provide a beamer board for measuring length and comparing weight of two identical objects including fishes. The beamer board acting as a culling system comprises an elongated beam, a first attachment, a slot and a pair of notches. The elongated beam comprises several measurement marks along a length direction for measuring a length of the fishes. The first attachment extending from the beam acts as a starting point for measuring the length. The slot is provided at center for hanging the beam on a holder. The slot act as a fulcrum balance point for balancing the beam. The pair of notches is configured for hanging the objects for comparing the weight of the fishes. The fishes are hanged on the pair of notches using any cull markers available in the markets.

摘要: A force-measuring device (1) for a gravimetric measuring instrument has a stationary part (11) and a load-receiving part (12). Parallel guide members (14, 15) connect the receiving parts. The device also has at least one balance beam (19) connected to the load-receiving part through a coupling element (17) acting on a first lever arm (18) thereof, and which, at a second lever arm (20) thereof, is connected to a measurement transducer (22) which is arranged on the stationary part. Further levers (29, 30) can be arranged, respectively, between the first lever arm and the load-receiving part, and between the second lever arm and the measurement transducer. At least one sliding weight (23, 23A, 23B) is arranged on the at least one balance beam, wherein the position of each of the sliding weights present can be varied in a controlled way by means of at least one drive mechanism.

摘要: The invention relates to a device for continuously weighing powdered media in a tank, particularly paint powder in a storage tank, comprising a weighing unit having a measurement field on which a compressive force can be exerted, and by which an output signal representing the compressive force exerted on the measurement field can be generated. A guiding device allows forced motion of the tank having a vertical directional component. The tank can further be coupled to the weighing unit by forces by means of a coupling device, so that a compressive force that is dependent on the weight of the tank acts on the measurement field of the weighing unit when the tank is coupled to the weighing unit.

摘要: An apparatus for carrying out a weight measurement in centrifuges for separating suspensions into their solid and liquid components comprises a machine housing, a drum rotatingly mounted in the machine housing and receiving the suspension, and a filler pipe leading into the drum for feeding the suspension into the drum. The machine housing is mounted for pivotal movement about an axis of rotation, and a force measuring element senses weight-dependent deflections of the machine housing occurring about the axis of rotation and originating from a different degree of filling of the drum with suspension or from a different dewatering of the solid suspension components, and the machine housing deflections are indicated on a measurement value indicator. A pipeline is provided for generating a positive pressure or a negative pressure in the drum. The line of application of the force generated in this pipeline on account of the positive pressure or the negative pressure is guided so as to intersect the axis of rotation of the machine housing, or a sensor is provided for sensing the pressure in the drum and correcting the measurement value indicator in dependence upon the pressure.

摘要: A carriage assembly provides for holding a pressurizable vessel used in delivering fluid to a processing system, the pressurizable vessel having an elongated body defining a longitudinal axis, a first end, and a second end. The carriage assembly includes: a support structure for holding the vessel such that the axis is non-vertical, the support structure being substantially isolated from mechanical vibration caused by the processing system; and a sensor coupled with the vessel and operative to generate a signal indicative of the amount of fluid stored in the vessel. The support structure provides a fulcrum proximate the first end of the vessel, and the sensor includes a load sensor mechanically coupled with a portion of the vessel which is located proximate its second end. The sensor is operable to generate the signal in response to force exerted on the load sensor by the weight of the vessel.

Such a construction avoids the introduction of damaging torques from the extension (16) and the balance pan (17) into the sensitive parallel guide (5, 6, 7, 8, 9).

摘要: A balance mechanism for automatically lifting known weights in a single-arm balance comprised of two plates, a first plate supporting the known weights and a pan for an unknown mass to be weighed and a second counterbalancing plate coupled to the first through a box lever having diagonal corners connected to a support member through flexible elements that will permit the box lever to pivot about a diagonal axis in response to a vertical force at one free corner connected to a corner of one balance plate or in response to a vertical force at the other free corner connected to a corner of the other balance plate. One balance plate is secured in space by two taut rectangular loop lines, one line being connected taut to diagonally opposite corners of the plate and to elements affixed to the support member in a position over the free corners of the plate, and the other line being connected taut to the free corners of the plate and to elements affixed to the support member in a position over the other two corners. The other balance plate is secured in space parallel to the first plate in the same manner as the first plate by two taut rectangular loop lines, but relative to the first plate as the support member and oriented 90.degree. from the first plate about an axis normal to the plates. Any force on one plate is coupled to the other plate by the box lever to cause the plates to move in opposite directions while the two pairs of taut lines maintain the plates substantially parallel regardless of whether or not the plates are horizontal or the force is normal to the plates.

摘要: A scale system including a vertically displaceable crown supported by a longitudinally displaceable center section. A sensing means disposed above-ground is actuated by the center section in response to a weight applied to the crown. The sensing means sends a signal to an interpreting means. Inclined, mating surfaces interconnect the crown and the center section so that the crown is displaceable substantially vertically only and the center section is displaceable substantially longitudinally only. Alternative embodiments of the invention include a friction-reducing material for the inclined surfaces to render the coefficient of friction therebetween substantially a constant; a sealing means for the inclined surfaces to prevent deterioration thereof; restraining means for the center section to impede the displacement of the center section and prevent overload of the sensing means; and a locking means to prevent removal of the crown from the center section.

摘要: This invention provides a device for determining the postage for letters and the like. The device comprises an elongated flat beam, a transverse fulcrum positioned on one surface of the beam, the fulcrum being positioned at a distance less than one half the length of the beam from one end of the beam; and a weight indicating scale on the opposite surface of the beam, the scale being extended longitudinally from the end of the beam along the corresponding shorter portion of the beam, whereby when a letter with one of its longitudinal edges forward on the scale is slid flatwise along the surface of the beam with the center of gravity of the letter at least approximately on the longitudinal axis of the beam, the beam is balanced when the edge of the letter is positioned on an area of the scale corresponding to the weight of the letter.
