摘要: An apparatus for separating cell suspension material into centrate and concentrate, includes a single use structure (178, 240, 250) releasably positioned in a cavity in a solid wall rotatable centrifuge bowl (172). The bowl and portions of single use structure rotate about an axis (174). A stationary inlet feed tube (184), a centrate discharge tube (212) and a concentrate discharge tube (230) extend along the axis of the rotating single use structure. A centrate centripetal pump (208) is in fluid connection with the centrate discharge tube. A concentrate centripetal pump (216) is in fluid connection with the concentrate discharge tube. A controller (274) operates responsive to sensors (264, 270) in respective centrate and concentrate discharge lines (262, 268), to control flow rates of a concentrate pump (272) and a centrate pump (266) to produce output flows of cell concentrate and generally cell free centrate.

摘要: A disc-type centrifuge is configured to use clean water as sealing water to be supplied at high pressure to a sealing mechanism unit. A pump is disposed on a circulation pathway connecting a sealing water tank, in which the sealing water is stored, and the sealing mechanism unit. The sealing water (clean water) is circulated between the sealing water tank and the sealing mechanism unit by the pump. The pump is connected to the drive shaft of a motor that supplies a driving force to a rotating shaft and bowl and is configured so that the pump is operated by receiving the driving force of the motor.

摘要: Provided is a used paper diaper processing apparatus in which a water absorption function of a superabsorbent polymer that absorbs water contained in excrement is lowered and water is removed by mixing the superabsorbent polymer and a chemical containing divalent metal ions in an outer tank, and in which weight is reduced by dehydration after an amount of water contained in a used paper diaper is lowered. In the apparatus, a lower portion of the outer tank can be opened and closed, so that weight reduction processing and a series of operations including taking-out are possible. Since an operator is not required to take out the used paper diaper after processing directly from the outer tank, it is possible to reduce work and hygiene burdens on the operator.

摘要: A method of calibrating a centrifugal separator includes retrieving stored data representing a first correlation between different amounts of sediment discharges and rotational speed reductions of the rotatable bowl, generating trigger signals to discharge different amounts of sediment, measuring rotational speed reductions of the rotatable bowl that correspond to the discharges, obtaining values corresponding to the sediment discharges based on the rotational speed reductions and the first correlation, determining data representing a second correlation between the different sediment discharges and trigger signals based on the trigger signals and the values corresponding to the sediment discharges, and obtaining a trigger signal corresponding to a desired discharge amount based on the second correlation.

The plunger may be configured to be actuated to open the seal and express the portion of the sample.
