A color image forming method and apparatus using larger microcapsules each of which contains a plurality of kinds of smaller microcapsules scattered within the larger microcapsule, reacting substances that are mixed with each other to perform a coloring reaction being scattered inside and outside the smaller microcapsule. A protective wall of each smaller microcapsule is broken with a corresponding predetermined ultrasonic stimulus depending upon color component information to thereby cause the reacting substances to diffuse with each other to perform a coloring reaction and hence image printing. The conditions for breaking the protective walls of the respective smaller microcapsules that contain a color former component vary from smaller microcapsule to smaller microcapsule, or are determined depending upon the outer shapes, materials and thickness of the protective walls of the smaller microcapsules.

By the toner, an offset can be inhibited from being generated in heating/pressurizing/fixing in which an oil for preventing a high-temperature offset is not used or a use amount of the oil is reduced, and an OHP fixed image superior in transparency can be obtained.

A system and method are provided for generating a color plane in an image. For example, a noise generation device is coupled to at least one component within a laser imaging assembly to cause a random deviation in the placement of the spots within respective color planes. This random deviation advantageously alleviates the problem of misregistration, white gapping, and moirnull patterns, etc. In one embodiment, a system is provided that includes a laser imaging assembly having a laser generating a laser beam that is optically coupled to a photoconductor, typically an organic photoconductive (OPC) drum. The laser beam is optically coupled to a number of predetermined positions on the OPC drum to generate an image on the OPC drum. A noise generator is operatively coupled, for example, to a component in the laser imaging assembly. The noise generator causes a random motion in the component, for example, thereby generating a random deviation of each of the predetermined positions on the OPC drum to which the laser beam is optically coupled.

High-precision registration of an image is enabled in a high speed and high quality color printer. A print control part carries out trial printing in double-sided printing. Images of both sides of the trial printing read by a scanner or the like are respectively compared with original images in an image analysis part, and deformations occurring in output images of both sides are analyzed. From this analysis result, a correction data generation part generates correction data, for both sides of a sheet, indicating a correction processing to be added to an input image to remove deformation occurring in an output image. An image correction part changes the correction data to be used according to which side of the sheet the input image is printed on, and corrects the input image. The print control part prints a corrected image.
