摘要： A parallel mechanism for manipulating an object in space is provided. The parallel mechanism includes an end platform for supporting an object to be manipulated and an intermediate platform arranged in spaced relation from the end platform and connected to the end platform by a connecting element. A plurality of first links are connected to the end platform and a plurality of second links are connected to the intermediate platform. A linear motor is associated with each first link and each second link for translating the ends of the first and second links to move the end and intermediate platforms.

摘要： A bicycle control device is disclosed having a control lever that is operable in a first direction to operate the brake control mechanism, a second direction to operate the shift control mechanism in the winding direction and a third direction to operate the shift control mechanism in the release direction. In a preferred embodiment of the invention, when viewed from the perspective of a rider on the bicycle, the first direction is the direction of movement of the lever toward the handlebar. The second direction is the direction of movement of the control lever downward and the third direction is the direction of movement of the control lever upward. In a more preferred embodiment, the second and third directions are perpendicular to the first direction.

The gear change control unit comprises a ratchet mechanism (36, 42) controlled by said button lever (32) and subject to assuming a home position and an active position. The ratchet mechanism (36, 42) is arranged so to leave the shaft (20) free to turn by a predetermined amplitude in the release direction of the cable (28), under the action of said return torque following each variation of position of the ratchet mechanism (36, 42) between the home position and the active position, and vice versa.

摘要： A device for locking a brake pedal of a motor vehicle includes a cylinder and a piston mounted for reciprocating movement relative to each other. A spring is positioned within the cylinder so as to urge the piston away from a retracted position and towards an extended position. The external end of the piston is adapted to engage an exposed surface of a motor vehicle's brake pedal, containing an antifriction member such as a toothed tip integrally formed therewith or a separate rubber cap attached thereto. The cylinder further includes a hook member or some other mechanism adapted to engage a front surface of a motor vehicle's driver seat. The position of the hook member on the cylinder is adjustable so as to accommodate varying distances between the brake pedal and the driver seat.

摘要： A throttle adapted for use on recreational vehicles, especially personal watercraft such as jet skies. The throttle is mounted on a handlebar of a jet ski preferably adjacent the engine on/off switch. The throttle is provided with a quick-release mechanism. Actuation of the mechanism permits the throttle to be moved from a thumb-activated position to a fingers-operated position. Deactivation of the mechanism will lock the throttle to the handlebar in either of the aforementioned positions.
