    Abstract: Disclosed are systems and methods that provide a computerized device management framework that deterministically identifies and applies device warranty policies that manage how devices can be properly used, as well as the real-world and digital circumstances of such usage respective to approved activities subject to a warranty policy review. The disclosed framework can automatically detect a device's connection to a network (e.g., a Wi-Fi network), and based on information related to the device and the established connection, inter alia, determine which type of warranty policy to enact for the device and/or user of the device. The policy determination can effectuate the type of policy, term and/or conditions and exclusions that dictate how the device and/or activity related to the device are covered under the policy, and the real-world/digital manners for which the device can be utilized.

    Abstract: A receipt capture tool residing on a customer mobile device may be initiated when a customer completes an in-store or online purchase. The receipt capture tool may prompt the customer to capture an image of a receipt detailing a purchase and an item (e.g., product or service) purchased. For instance, the photo of a physical receipt may be taken by the mobile device, or an electronic receipt or email detailing the purchasing transmitted from a physical merchant or online merchant server may be stored. Receipt information may be extracted and saved with other information pertinent to the item purchased, including warranty information. If the customer needs to return or repair the item purchased at a future date, the receipt and warranty information may be subsequently accessed via their mobile device. The receipt and warranty information may also be stored in a searchable database to facilitate easy retrieval by the customer.

    Abstract: In one aspect, an example methodology implementing the disclosed techniques includes, by a product subscription service, receiving information regarding a hardware asset being returned at an end of a subscription and predicting, using a first machine learning (ML) model, whether the hardware asset has reached EOL. The method also includes, responsive to predicting that the hardware asset has reached EOL, creating, by the product subscription service, a work order to dispatch an eco-partner. The method may further include, by the product subscription service, responsive to predicting that the hardware asset has not reached EOL, predicting, using a second ML model, one or more new subscription orders matching the hardware asset and recommending the one or more matching new subscription orders as possible fits for the hardware asset.

    Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for validating and registering an IHS (Information Handling System) and components of the IHS for technical support. Upon delivery and initialization of an IHS, an inventory certificate that was uploaded to the IHS during factory provisioning of the IHS is retrieved. The inventory certificate includes an inventory that identifies factory-installed hardware components in the IHS. The inventory also specifies whether a registration requirement has been specified for the IHS, such as to initiate technical support. While still operating a pre-boot validation process, an inventory is collected of the detected hardware components of the IHS. Based on the inventory certificate, the validation process confirms whether a detected hardware component is a factory-installed hardware component and determines whether registration is required. If required, registration of the IHS is initiated by the validation process and initialization of the IHS continues.

    Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer program products for alarm response automation in manufacturing, distribution, and general supply chain environments. Sensors categorized as part of an industrial IoT environment are used to detect asset health, including asset abnormalities and trends. Alarm exceptions generate actionable events, which are used to invoke a multi-tiered, hierarchical application of asset entitlements. This data guidance provides enhanced alarm response automation via intelligent filtration and consolidation by grouping recurrent or related alarms from assets, models, model types, components, customers, and sites into a single actionable event. This actionable event has its own unique categorizations that work in concert. At any point, additional, definable processes may be executed to further refine the data. The resulting layered, asset entitlement approach thereby creates a high level of filtration and intelligence from the IoT-generated data.
