Abstract:
A vibration sensor is used in conjunction with perimeter security systems. The sensor is comprised of two conductive spherical elements each resting on a pair of parallel conductive arcs. A plurality of sensors are attached to mounting means and placed at spaced intervals on a security fence. The sensors are used to detect persons who attempt to cut, climb, lift, or contact the security fence.
Abstract:
A system for deterring an attack and adding with identification and apprehension of an attacker is disclosed. A vessel containing materials capable of leaving stain, odor, or other markings on the attacker and the victim are employed. Comparison of the materials found on the victim and on the attacker will help establish the connection between the two and aid in the positive identification of the attacker. The system further provides for an audio and light alarm as additional ways for the victim to discourage the attacker. Also included is a tool that will aid the victim in escaping from the attacker's car or other surroundings.
Abstract:
A personal safety device is provided. The personal safety device is comprised of a housing member, which houses a repellant spray member and a sound generating member. A means well known in the art are used for activation of the repellant spray member, wherein upon activation of the repellant spray member a repellant stored inside of the repellant spray member is released from the repellant spray member. Additionally, means well known in the art are used for activation of the sound generating member, wherein upon activation of the sound generating member a sound, such as a loud alarm, is emitted from the sound generating member. In one preferred embodiment of the invention, the personal safety device has means for activating of either the repellant spray member, or the sound generating member, or both.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a personal alarm system including a communication device for transmitting a signal to a recipient such as a signal monitoring center or rescue or other emergency authorities. An interface module, including a user-programmable memory and a user interface, controls the communication device. A triggering key is used to activate the interface module in the case of an emergency, thereby causing the communication device to transmit a signal to the recipient.
Abstract:
A method of sonically detecting a sonic act such as a graffiti-making act or firearm shot includes providing a sonic act detection system to sonically detect a sonic act and a camera to take an image of a perpetrator of the sonic act; locating the sonic act detection system and the camera near a location where the sonic act is prone to occur; sonically detecting with said sonic act detection system a sonic act; obtaining one or more images of the perpetrator of the sonic act with the camera; communicating to one or more entities that sonic act has been detected.
Abstract:
A security monitoring system including: an alarm system having detectors for detection of an alarm in a structure; at least one camera for capturing image data inside and/or outside the structure; a processor for selecting a subset of the image data upon the occurrence of the alarm based on a predetermined criteria; and a modem for transmitting the subset of image data to a remote location. The processor ranks each video frame from the image data according to how well each video frame meets the predetermined criteria and the modem transmits a predetermined number of video frames having the best rank to the remote location.
Abstract:
A warning system comprises a piezo-electric ceramic capable of resonating with an ultrasonic wave having a frequency within a predetermined frequency band and thus outputting an electric signal, a resonator capable of detecting only a signal component having a specific frequency from the electric signal output from the piezoelectric ceramic. When the resonator has detected a signal component having a specific frequency, an alarm signal is continuously generated for a predetermined time set by a timer, so that a warning notice is produced by an alarm device in accordance with the alarm signal.
Abstract:
In a case where an intruder is detected in a house, a detection signal is outputted from a home security communication device, and is notified to a monitor center through an in-area communication management device by a wireless connection. The monitor center notifies a portable telephone owned by a resident of the house that the intruder exists in the house and also notifies houses to in the area that the intruder exists in the house.
Abstract:
A security system includes several camera devices and a communication means unit in sites at which monitoring is required by the user. The several camera devices monitor these sites constantly. Camera devices have motion detecting functions and provide unusual status reporting signals and the necessary image information to communications device only when the movements of an intruder have been detected. Communication means communicates with and is connected to the server means which serves as the information center using the internet line only when unusual signals have been received. At this time, information from camera devices is also sent to server means. Server means automatically notifies the user and other persons by a method that the user has selected in advance. The user who has received notification can access server means and can confirm the detailed information regarding the abnormality as images.
Abstract:
A system for detecting of an intruder has a plurality of sensors distributed over an area of a corresponding area; a process or arranged to process signals obtained from said sensors as a result of activity of the intruder; and the sensors with the processor, the connections are formed so that the sensors are connected parallel with one another to the processor.
