    摘要: The invention concerns a method for evaluating pattern defects on a wafer surface, comprising the following steps: acquiring the surface data of a plurality of individual image fields (4) of a series-produced wafer (1); storing the data in a reference data set and making it available as reference data for the inspection of further wafers of the same series; inspecting, successively in time, the individual image fields (4) on the surface of a wafer (1) presently being examined; retrieving from the reference data set a reference datum corresponding to the respective individual image field (4) presently being inspected; comparing the surface of each individual image field (4) currently being inspected to the corresponding reference datum; if one or more deviations are identified, subsequently classifying the deviations into critical and noncritical defects in terms of the functionality of the chip; and simultaneously updating or adding to the reference data set.

    摘要: The method for adapting the lateral and temporal resolution of a microscope image allows the detection of temporal changes in the image content, and switches over to another transmission mode on the basis of the result of the determination.The arrangement for adapting the lateral and temporal resolution of a microscope image comprises means for detecting the changes in the image content of a microscopic image. Also provided are electronic means for limiting the image content. Further means make it possible to switch over automatically to a suitable transmission mode. The means for detecting the change is an image data processing means (22) that ascertains salient image points and their positions within a defined image window. In addition, a comparison element (36) is provided and is connected to a switchover means (33). In the event of a deviation in the comparison element (36), the switchover means (33) thereupon reduces the image data of a current input image in accordance with the bandwidth and the transmission rate in order to generate a live image for video conferencing.

    摘要: Systems and methods for personal identification, preferably based on iris identification, include a camera for acquiring a presented image of a presented individual and a computer device for converting the presented image into a presented image metric. The computer device also compares the presented image metric to a predetermined arrangement of a plurality of reference image metrics of known individuals to identify the presented individual as one of the known individuals. The presented image metric and the plurality of reference metrics are both formatted to represent detailed physical characteristics of the individuals, including iris characteristics and other physical characteristics. Further, the plurality of reference image metrics may also be formatted to represent user-defined characteristics, which include non-image-related characteristics. The predetermined arrangement of the plurality of reference image metrics are ordered to provide a fast match with the presented image metric. As such, the predetermined arrangement may be based on iris characteristics, other physical characteristics and user-defined characteristics. Alternately, the system of the present invention may include a carousel system that presents a circulating, predetermined arrangement of a series of reference image metrics that are compared with a plurality of presented image metrics in parallel. Thus, the systems and methods provide a fast match determination between the presented image metric and the plurality of reference image metrics in order to identify the presented individual.

    摘要: A system identifies an abrupt transition in content between two frames, and determines whether the abrupt transition was caused by a shot boundary between the two frames or by a flashlight event. Identification of the abrupt transition in content includes calculating a difference in light intensity histograms between the current frame and a preceding frame, and comparing the histogram difference to a dynamically determined threshold. Further, an average light intensity based method is used to determine whether the abrupt transition was caused by a shot boundary or by a flashlight event.
