摘要： A method, computer system, and a computer program product for syllable-based pronunciation help are provided. An input text in a first language may be received. A selection of a target language that is different from the first language may be received. From the target language, syllables with a pronunciation most closely matching a pronunciation of the input text in the first language are obtained. The obtaining is based on a comparison of one or more spectrograms for the input text with one or more spectrograms for text of the target language. The obtained syllables in the target language are presented.

摘要： A computer processing system is provided for enhancing video-based language learning. The system includes a video server for storing videos that use one or more languages to be learned. The system further includes a video metadata database for storing translations of sentences uttered in the videos, character profiles of characters appearing in the videos, and mappings between the sentences and a learner profile. The system also includes a learner profile database for storing learner profiles. The system additionally includes a semantic analyzer and matching engine for finding, for at least a given video and a given learner, alternative sentences for and responsive to the translations of the sentences uttered in the given video that conflict with a respective learner profile for the given learner. The computer processing system further includes a presentation system for playing back the given video and providing the alternative sentences to the given learner.

摘要： A technology for assessing foreign language pronunciation of a non-native learner is provided. The foreign language pronunciation assessment technology includes training an end-to-end speech recognizer with native speaker data, tuning the trained end-to-end speech recognizer with non-native speaker data, training a scoring module on the basis of the finely tuned end-to-end speech recognizer, and calculating, by the trained scoring module, a prediction score for non-native speaker speech input when the non-native speaker speech is input to the tuned end-to-end speech recognizer.

摘要： Education curricula materials include encoded indicia such as a QR code that contains information related to identifying requested augmented reality image data from a server over a network. By scanning the QR code, a computer uses its decoding software to create a data set for transmitting to the server. The data set may include an identifier for selected augmented reality image data associated with the user's curriculum, information about the curriculum at issue, the academic level of the user, and any other data necessary to ensure that the most appropriate augmented reality image data is transmitted back to the computer. The server transmits comprehensive augmented reality image data back to the computer for viewing on a computerized display accessible by a student. Part of the content may include an interactive pedagogical agent that helps the student with a part of the instruction related to a portion of the curriculum.
