Abstract:
A belt drive record player having a turntable mounted on a main frame and a motor mounted on a resiliently supported sub-frame. A switching member having two fork limbs, for transferring the belt between different speed pulleys, is mounted on the sub-frame and is movable between two positions defined by stops on the sub-frame. A control member mounted on the main frame is disengaged from the switching member except when the speed is being changed.
Abstract:
This invention is regarded to a pulley of a belt drive mechanism. The belt drive mechanism is applied to, for example, magnetic disk apparatuses. The contact surface of the pulley, in contact with a belt of the belt drive mechanism, has a shape of a part of a surface of a sphere.A center of a sphere is at a point substantially the same as a point of intersection of a plane including a center line of an operating course of the belt and a center line of rotation of the pulley.
Abstract:
A disk playback apparatus designed such that the linear velocity of the disk is stabilized during a short period corresponding to one to several revolutions of the disk and occurrence therein of vibration and noise is suppressed is disclosed. The apparatus is characterized in that the revolving axis of the turntable on which the disk is mounted is driven by a low-torque spindle motor and the wheel effect of the revolving axis or the spindle motor is made larger.
Abstract:
A record player drive, comprising a belt pulley concentrically disposed relative to and connected with a turntable, a motor having a motor shaft containing sections of different diameters, and a drive belt connecting the belt pulley with the motor shaft. A guide fork shifts the belt on the sections, and an operating element stepwise sets different turntable-rotational speeds. A holder keeps the operating element in positions corresponding to drive rotational speeds of the turntable, and an elastic coupling is disposed between the guide fork and the operating element for exerting a shifting force on the guide fork when the operating element is moved with blocked guide fork in another drive position. A switch opens and closes the motor electric circuit, and a blocking device blocks the shifting movement of the guide fork, and is coupled with the switch such that with opened electric circuit the blocking is operative and with closed electric circuit is inoperative.
Abstract:
A disk drive device is disclosed including a supporting mechanism for supporting a plurality of magnetic disks, a single motor, and a transmitting mechanism. The supporting mechanism comprises a plurality of bearing mechanisms, each of which rotatably supports each of the magnetic disks, respectively. Each bearing mechanisms is formed as a tube, and a rotatable shaft is connected to each disk and rotatably supported in each tubular bearing mechanism. The rotatable shaft is provided with grooves which generate a pumping effect when a fluid is passed therethrough, whereby the rotatable shaft is supported in the tubular bearing mechanism without friction therebetween. The transmitting mechanism comprises an endless belt for transmitting a rotation of the motor to the supporting mechanism.
