摘要： Switch-less flashlights have a tube for housing the battery and a lamp assembly threaded or mounted on an end portion of that tube and having spaced first and second lamp terminals adapted to contact corresponding battery terminals upon rotation or movement of that lamp assembly relative to the tube in a first sense of rotation or direction. One of such first and second lamp terminals is also adapted to disengage from a corresponding one of the first and second battery terminals upon rotation or movement of the lamp assembly relative to the tube in a second sense of rotation or direction. The flashlight preferably includes a spring, such as in the form of the first lamp terminal contacting the first battery terminal, for permanently pressing the battery against an opposite end portion of the battery housing tube. A special version of the flashlight has a flexible diaphragm across one end of the tube depressible against the battery so as to activate the flashlight by longitudinal movement of the battery in the flashlight.

摘要： A microswitch includes a base (1), fixed contacts (2) and movable contacts (3). The movable contacts (3) are connected to a drive member (4) by way of a mechanism for switching the movable contacts having at least two assemblies (7) disposed in symmetry relative to the axis of the drive member (4). Each of the assemblies (7) includes a lever (8) and a spring (9) the outer ends (15,16) of which are interconnected to be capable of swinging angularly relative to each other. One element (8) of these two elements (8, 9) of the assemblies (7) is connected by its inner end (10) to the drive member (4) for swinging angularly relative thereto. Other respective elements (9) of each assembly (7) on which the movable contacts (3) are secured have the form of an integral resilient part (12) the central portion of which has secured thereto the movable contacts (3). The resilient part (12) at the portions thereof between the attachment points thereon of the movable contacts (3) and its outer ends (15) define in each assembly (7) of the mechanism for switching the movable contacts resilient elements (9) arranged in symmetry relative to the axis of the drive member (4) at an angle to each other in any possible position of the drive member (4). Also provided are stop elements (17) for restricting the movement of the outer ends of the assemblies of the mechanism for switching the movable contacts. The attachment points of the movable contacts (3) on the resilient part (12) are located between the stop elements (17) at equal distances therefrom.

摘要： A slide switch having at least one row of terminals arranged along a substrate has a slider movable along the terminals. The slider carries a movable contact element biased resiliently towards the terminals so as to connect separate pairs of these terminals electrically together during movement of the slider. Each of the terminals has an exposed contact portion having an arcuate surface and the movable contact element has a generally corrugated shape formed by three arcuate protrusions forming convex surfaces facing the terminals and each spaced by trough portions presenting concave surfaces facing the terminals. In this way, the arcuate surfaces of the exposed contact portions can be adapted to fit within the trough portions upon movement of the slider into particular positions so as to stabilize the slider in these positions. Additionally, means are provided for pivoting the movable contact element as it disengages from an exposed contact portion so that the terminal last engages the movable contact portion at a location different than such engagement when the slider is in an associated stable position.

摘要： This invention relates to an improved dual action switch assembly in which each of two pairs of electrical contacts is alternatively locked in open position by a tensioned locking element upon the interaction of a driving mechanism partially positioned within a frame on a slider unit. The switch assembly in a preferred form includes a base, two movable contact arms and two corresponding fixed contact brackets mounted on the base. The contact arms are mounted for pivotal rotation about mounting terminals. A biasing member, as for example a coil spring, is attached to each of the contact arms to provide a resilient force against pivoting opening movement of the contact arms. A tensioned locking element, preferably formed of two bent, over-center, leaf springs, is mounted between the slider unit and the base. The slider unit is capable of slidable movement along the base upon the action of a driving mechanism such that the slider unit alternatively contacts one of the contact arms at a time, causing that contact arm to pivot and separate from its connection with its corresponding contact bracket. When this occurs the tensioned locking element locks the contact arm and contact bracket in an open position until the driving mechanism reverses to cause the slider unit to actuate the other contact arm, causing the tensioned locking element to unlock, move through its maximum point of tension and relock the latter contact arm and contact bracket in open position.

摘要： A mechanical switch comprises a pusher rod, a movable member movable from one position to another position in response to the depression of the pusher rod, a movable contact carrier normally held in position to connect a pair of contact elements on respective terminal members to each other therethrough so long as the pusher rod has not yet been depressed, and a return biasing spring for urging the movable member to the one position. The contact carrier is, as the movable member approaches the another position in response to the movement of the pusher rod, snapped to move from the position in which the contact elements are connected to each other to a different position to disconnect or open the circuit between the terminal members. The pusher rod has an abutment defined therein to forcibly separate the contact elements from the contact carrier in the event that the contact elements have been fused to the contact carrier.

摘要： A switch of the type utilized for machine tool controls and actuated by a roller passing over a cam track has two members mounted for independent reciprocation along a plunger actuated from the cam track. One of the members carries a movable contact or contacts, while the second member is utilized to trigger the first member. Each of the members is independently activated by an associated overcenter arrangement for snap action. A compression spring is utilized to return drive the plunger from the position to which it is moved by the action of the roller on the cam track. Movement of the plunger under the driving force of either the roller and cam track or the compression spring provides for a snap action of both members in the appropriate direction upon activation by their respective overcenter arrangement. The plunger is driven by the cam track to provide a positive contact break, while the compression spring provides an additional opening force in the other direction, if the overcenter arrangements for the two members do not succeed in effecting the desired contact opening.

摘要： Disclosed is a lever switch for switching electric circuits. The switch has a driving lever rotatably secured to a switch frame which accomodates a slider having movable contacts and a click container accomodating a click member. The slider has a driving portion adapted for engagement with a driving projection formed on the driving lever, so that the slider may be driven to bring the movable contacts housed therein into and out of contact with fixed contacts, thereby to switch the electric circuits. The click member is adapted for engagement with a cam portion of the driving lever to allow the clicking motion of the latter. The click container is fixed to the switch frame in such a manner that grooves formed at the sides thereof receive corresponding tongues formed on the switch frame, so that it is unnecessary to spread the walls of the frame away from each other during the insertion of the click container, thereby to facilitate the assembling.

摘要： The switch has two metal contact strips projecting upwardly from the bottomall of the housing and connected to two pins which extend out of the housing. A rectilinear slideway parallel to the end wall contains a slide of electrically insulating material which is movable in the slideway between a first position and a second position. The slideway has an aperture in the region of the contact strips and the slide has a cavity which contains a freely rotatable contact roller and has confronting lateral surfaces which urge the roller to a position for interconnecting the contact strips in said first position of the slide and an inoperative position of rest in said second position of the slide. A spring wire supported in the slide biases the roller out of the cavity toward the contact strips.
