摘要： An electrical overload protection device for readily identifying and resetting a tripped circuit breaker includes a button, which is retained in depressed and extended configurations by a biaser. A first end and a second end of a plate spring are attached to the housing and the biaser, respectively. A bimetal strip, which is attached to and positioned in the housing, is reversibly deformable and thus bendable upon exposure to a specified current. Depressing the button contacts the biaser with the bimetal strip to complete an electrical circuit, which, should it exceed the specified current, bends the bimetal strip to actuate the plate spring to extend a shaft from the housing. The bending also disengages the biaser from the bimetal strip and breaks the electrical circuit. Depressing the shaft reverses deformation of the bimetal strip and reextends the button so it is again depressible to complete the electrical circuit.

摘要： A remote-controlled mechanism according to an embodiment is used for coupling to a protective switching device to use a controllable drive device of the remote-controlled mechanism to actuate the coupled protective switching device. To this end, the remote-controlled mechanism includes: an actuating element operatively connectable to an actuating element of the coupled protective switching device and actuatable either by a remotely controllable drive device of the remote-controlled mechanism or manually; one or more sensor devices for capturing position data relating to a position of the actuating element of the remote-controlled mechanism; and a controller for evaluating the captured position data and for controlling the drive device via control commands. The controller is designed to disable the drive device upon an evaluation of the position data and/or of the control commands revealing that the actuating element of the remote-controlled mechanism has been switched off manually.

The auxiliary unit comprises a current sensor for measuring the intensity of the current flowing in the electric conductor and a first detection means for detecting the voltage outage load-side from the circuit breaker. The method comprises the following steps: measuring the intensity of the current flowing in the electric conductor, detecting the voltage outage load-side from the electric circuit breaker, determining a cause of the detected voltage outage load-side from the circuit breaker, said cause being selected from the group consisting in: an electric overload, a short-circuit and a voltage drop.

The tripped, or tripping, breaker sends a Notice of Trip Data signal before its contacts open and its power goes out, or does so on reserve power. A neighboring breaker's transceiver receives the Notice of Trip Data signal, encodes it, and then repeats it back via an LED and indicator light tube to the tripped breaker. The trip occurrence has opened a shutter on the tripped breaker which allows it to display the repeated Notice of Trip Data signal as a visible light indication through an indicator window in its top wall.
