    摘要: A cathode ray tube for reducing a deflection power without any BSN problem is disclosed. The cathode ray tube has a panel, a funnel having a deflection yoke on an outer periphery thereof, and a neck connected to the cone of the funnel. A phosphor screen is arranged on an inner surface of the panel. The funnel includes a body connected to the panel, and a cone connected to the body. The cone has a deflection power reducing shape which is formed to have a range of length 0.25×L from an end of the cone at the neck where L is an entire length of the cone measured along an axis of symmetry of the cathode ray tube.

    摘要: An exit window for an electron beam emitter through which electrons pass in an electron beam includes an exit window foil having an interior and an exterior surface with a series of holes formed therethrough. A corrosion resistant layer having high thermal conductivity extends over the exterior surface and the holes of the exit window foil for resisting corrosion and increasing thermal conductivity. The layer extending over the holes of the exit window foil provide thinner window regions which allow easier passage of the electrons through the exit window.

    摘要: A cathode ray tube includes a panel on which a phosphor screen is formed, a cylindrical neck in which an electron gun assembly is arranged, and a funnel formed between the panel and the neck. The funnel has a substantially rectangular cone portion on which a deflection yoke is mounted. An anode button is provided on the funnel to supply a high voltage in the funnel, and an inner graphite layer is disposed on an inner surface of the funnel to form a path for the transmission of the high voltage. The inner graphite layer satisfies at least one of the following conditions on an inner surface of the cone portion: 0.9≦Td/Th≦1.36 0.9≦Td/Tv≦1.36 where Td is a thickness of the inner graphite layer disposed on inside corners of the cone portion, Th is a thickness of the inner graphite layer disposed on inside horizontal walls of the cone portion, and Tv is a thickness of the inner graphtie layer disposed on inside vertical walls of the cone portion.

    摘要: A compact plasma accelerator having components including a cathode electron source, an anodic ionizing gas source, and a magnetic field that is cusped. The components are held by an electrically insulating body having a central axis, a top axial end, and a bottom axial end. The cusped magnetic field is formed by a cylindrical magnet having an axis of rotation that is the same as the axis of rotation of the insulating body, and magnetized with opposite poles at its two axial ends; and an annular magnet coaxially surrounding the cylindrical magnet, magnetized with opposite poles at its two axial ends such that a top axial end has a magnetic polarity that is opposite to the magnetic polarity of a top axial end of the cylindrical magnet. The ionizing gas source is a tubular plenum that has been curved into a substantially annular shape, positioned above the top axial end of the annular magnet such that the plenum is centered in a ring-shaped cusp of the magnetic field generated by the magnets. The plenum has one or more capillary-like orifices spaced around its top such that an ionizing gas supplied through the plenum is sprayed through the one or more orifices. The plenum is electrically conductive and is positively charged relative to the cathode electron source such that the plenum functions as the anode; and the cathode is positioned above and radially outward relative to the plenum.

    摘要: There is provided white light illumination system including a radiation source, a first luminescent material having a peak emission wavelength of about 575 to about 620 nm, a second luminescent material having a peak emission wavelength of about 495 to about 550 nm, which is different from the first luminescent material and a third luminescent material having a peak emission wavelength of about 420 to about 480 nm, which is different from the first and second luminescent materials. The LED may be a UV LED and the luminescent materials may be a blend of three or four phosphors. The first phosphor may be an orange emitting Eu2+, M+ activated strontium pyrophosphate, Sr2P2O7:Eu2+, Mn2+. The second phosphor may be a blue-green emitting Eu2+ activated barium silicate, (Ba,Sr,Ca)2SiO4:Eu2+. The third phosphor may be a blue emitting SECA phosphor, (Sr,Ba,Ca)5(PO4)3Cl:Eu2+. Optionally, the fourth phosphor may be a red emitting Mn4+ activated magnesium fluorogermanate, 3.5MgO*0.5MgF2*GeO2:Mn4+. A human observer perceives the combination of the orange, blue-green, blue and/or red phosphor emissions as white light.
