    摘要: A ground connector for providing quick and secure connection between a plurality of electrical conductors and a ground bus bar. The connector has a generally U-Shaped body of deformable conductive material with a pair of outwardly directed shoulders and a pair of legs at opposite ends of the body, including an open ended slot for receiving a bus bar to establish an electrical crimp connection. Each leg includes teeth extending into the slot for engagement with the bus bar. The lower end of the slot has a pair of outwardly angled cut outs to allow the legs of the body to deform for a secure crimp connection to the bus bar. The body further includes a pair of apertures spaced at apart locations opposite the legs, respectively, for receiving conductors therein. Each of the apertures has access openings extending through the lower surface of the body to provide an area of relief upon deformation of the body around the conductors.

    摘要: A tab (2) constitutes a male terminal (1) serving as a terminal fitting. The tab (2) is inserted into a cylindrical electric contact portion (6) of a female terminal (3) serving as a mating terminal fitting. The tab (2) is sandwiched by a pair of resilient pieces (7) of the electric contact portion 6 of the female terminal (3). This prevents the tab (2) from going out of the electric contact portion (6). The tab (2) is formed by bending a sheet metal. The sheet metal is formed so that the thickness of a part (23) thereof, which includes portions to be respectively brought into contact with the resilient pieces (7) when the tab (2) is inserted into the electric contact portion (6), is smaller than those of other parts thereof. Curved surfaces (31) respectively placed on the corners of the part (23) are formed so that the radius of curvature of each of the curved surfaces (31) is small. Even when the tab (2) is misaligned, a flat surface (35) placed between the curved surfaces (31) comes in contact with the resilient pieces (7), respectively.

    摘要: An integrated circuit socket includes one or more cavities formed in a top surface of the socket, where the one or more cavities are formed in a region over which an integrated circuit can be placed. Multiple conductive contacts are attached to the socket, where each contact includes a first member that extends into one of the cavities, and a second member that provides at least part of a conductive path between the first member and the socket. The first member at least partially holds in place a discrete device inserted into the cavity. An integrated circuit package or interposer attached to the top surface over the cavity also can at least partially hold the discrete device in place. The first member makes electrical contact with the discrete device, thus completing a conductive path between the discrete device and the integrated circuit.

    摘要: A cable connector combination wherein the cable has an electrically conductive core and an extra-thick insulating sheath. There is a terminal fitting which includes a wire barrel and an insulator barrel. The former grips the exposed length of bare wire core and the latter grips a reduced diameter portion of the sheath. The exposed length is formed by stripping the insulation completely from one end, and the reduced diameter portion of the sheath is formed by stripping part of the insulation from the cable, preferably at a point adjacent the exposed length. The reduced diameter is the same as the outer diameter of a normal sized cable and, therefore, will fit easily and readily into the standard insulator barrel. Thus, no special fittings are required, and the abrasion-resistant cables can be handled along with all of the others. An apparatus for carrying out the method is also disclosed.

    摘要: A connecting structure of a coaxial cable and a coaxial connector of the present invention satisfies both tensile strength and high-frequency performance. The coaxial cable and coaxial connector are electrically and mechanically connected by caulking a sleeve. An outside contour of the cross section of the caulked sleeve has an almost circular shape since the caulked sleeve having a crimp height H1 is formed by jointing two opposing almost semi-circular members. The outside contour of each of the semi-circular members has a radius R1 so that R1 and H1 satisfy Equations (1) and (2), respectively: R1=P1×(D+2×T1)  (1) H1=P2×R1  (2) where D is an outside diameter of the coaxial cable, T1 is a plate thickness of the sleeve, P1 is within the range from 0.45 to 0.48, and P2 is within the range from 2.02 to 2.12.

    摘要: A connector is provided with crimping pieces that can be crimped into connection with a wire. The first and second crimping pieces (11, 12) are curved during crimping such that leading edges (11A, 12A) are inclined inwardly to a reduced diameter, and then are crimped into connection with a wire (W). The second crimping piece (12) is partly thinned at a position along its extending direction, to ensure that the leading edge (12A) can be bent inwardly. Thus, a crimping error resulting from such a deformation as to incline the leading edge (12A) in a direction opposite from an intended one can be prevented.
