    摘要: A collar is provided that has a sleeve having a tapered axial bore that defines a tapered surface interiorly of the sleeve. The tapered axial bore is adapted to receive a receptacle such that the tapered surface bears against the receptacle. Moreover, the collar has a resilient device that engages the sleeve. The resilient device, the tapered axial bore of the sleeve, and the receptacle receive a connector. Axial displacement of the connector relative to the sleeve and the receptacle compresses the resilient device such that the resilient device exerts an increasing axial force on the sleeve. The increasing axial force displaces the sleeve axially relative to the receptacle causing the tapered surface to exert a radial force on the receptacle.

    摘要: A main body includes a plurality of holes formed therein a main clip and includes an exterior contact portion positioned exterior to the main body, a first carrier strip connected to the exterior contact portion and located within the main body and a plurality of clips extending from this carrier strip, each position within a corresponding hole formed in the main body. A slave clip includes a carrier strip located within the main body and a plurality of clips extending from the carrier strip, each positioned within a corresponding hole of the main body to make the corresponding one of the clips of the main clip. The pair of the clips formed within each hole form a terminal to allow terminal portions of a grounding wire to be connected therein. A cap having a plurality of holes corresponding in position and size to the holes formed in the main body may be frictionally engaged in a hollow portion of the main body to complete the assembly. The same potential block (e.g., grounding block) thus formed may be easily assembled utilizing only a few parts. Further, these parts may also be easily manufactured.

The housing is configured to include a faceplate that is permanently sealed to the housing to create a positively sealed assembly that prevents infiltration of water or other contaminants into the housing.

    摘要: In a connector equipped with a rear holder, the rear holder in an open state is coupled with a housing of the connector by a fixing belt. A rear holder mounting device is provided with a cutter and slide bar. The cutter is moved to cut the fixing belt. The slide bar is moved to close the rear holder so that the rear holder is engaged in the housing. Thus, working before mounting the rear holder in the connector can be smoothly carried out. The rear holder, without being damaged or deformed, can be easily mounted in the connector.

The assembly 110 consists of two terminals 110A, 110B each having a band-shaped carrier 140 and a plurality of terminal units 130 connected to the carrier 140 through a joint portion 137. In the assembly 110, the terminals 110A, 110B are laid to overlap each other while the terminals 110A, 110B are shifted from each other in a predetermined length in the longitudinal direction of the carriers 140 and the carriers 140 are welded to each other. By bending the joint portions 137 of the upper terminal 110A by a plate thickness of the carrier 140 of the terminal 110B, it is possible to position the adjoining terminal units 130 of the terminals 110A, 110B in an identical plane.

    摘要: A pinning process including the steps of gold-plating through-holes in a laminate carrier and crimping old or gold-plated pin located in the through-holes to form a pin head on the top and a pin bulge on the bottom of the laminate carrier to produce a plastic pin grid array. A variety of mechanical forming processes may be employed to form the pin heads and pin bulges and cause the pin to at least partially, and preferably substantially, fill and contact the gold-plated through-hole including swage pinning, impact pinning, and double-die pinning operations. By combining the steps of gold-plating through-holes of a laminate carrier and using a mechanical pinning process to crimp a gold or gold-plated pin in the through-holes, a reliable mechanical and electrical connection may be established between the pin and the metal lines both inside and on the surface of the laminate carrier without the need for lead-containing solders and pastes.

    摘要: A connector installation device wherein a connector has a stationary connector element and another connector element that is movable along an engagement axis with the stationary connector element and mates therewith. An insertion cam is movable perpendicular to the engagement axis of the mating connector elements. An insertion drive mechanism is interconnected with the insertion cam and is movable along an installation axis perpendicularly to the engagement axis. A drive force applied to the insertion drive mechanism translates the insertion cam along the installation axis into contact with an insertion drive surface of the insertion cam. Pressure against the insertion drive surface translates the movable connector element along the engagement axis toward the stationary connector element. The gentle easing of the engagement of the moveable and stationary connector elements allows sufficient opportunity for guidance mechanisms on the connector housings to orient the male pins for insertion into corresponding female receptacles.
