    摘要: A fused disconnect device constructed according to the present invention comprises a housing, a line side terminal, a load side terminal, a protection fuse holder assembly removably installed in a cavity of said housing, and a separate alarm fuse removably installed in said housing. The alarm fuse may remain installed in the housing regardless of the presence of the protection fuse holder assembly, so that an alarm will be generated whenever the inventive device has interrupted power to the load. In a first embodiment of the invention, the disconnect device is adapted for front-access mounting in a power distribution panel. In a second embodiment of the invention, the disconnect device is adapted for rear-access mounting in a power distribution panel. A third embodiment is adapted for use in higher-current applications.

    摘要: An electrical conducting, fluid tight, tubular assembly comprising a number of elongate, interchangeable, reusable tubular sections that may be removably connected end to end and extended downwardly in an oil well bore hole adjacent a tubing string situated therein to supply electrical power to a down hole electrical pump or other electrically operated device that may be situated in the bore hole. The assembly is concurrently made up as the tubing string is lowered into the bore hole, with the sections being clamped to the tubing string and supported therefrom. The sections of the tubing string are longitudinally movable relative to one another within predetermined limits and as a result the assembly may elongate and contract in conformity with changes in the longitudinal length of the tubing string due to temperature changes in the bore hole. When the tubing string is pulled from the oil well bore hole the sections of the tubular assembly are sequentially unclamped therefrom and disengaged from one another. The disengaging of the sections one from the other is extremely simple, as the sections are in slidable engagement and the uppermost sections on an assembly simply has to be lifted upwardly to effect such disengagement. The tubular sections when assembled provides protection for a number of longitudinally extending laterally spaced electrical conductors or cables therein, both from mechanical damage, as well as damage that may result from excessive temperatures or gas pressure in the bore hole.

    摘要: The adjustable and readily solderable sheet-like connector of the invention is composed of an insulating sheet-like elastic body, a plurality of parallel-running wires of a soft and plastically deformable metal or alloy integrally bonded to the surface of the sheet-like body forming an array of parallel electroconductive paths and a soldering layer at least partly covering the exposed array of the metal wires as formed of a composite material composed of a plastically flowable material such as a hot-melt adhesive and particles or chopped fibers of a solder alloy dispersed therein. The connector is easily bent and left in the bent form just like an adjustable ruler to comply with any curved surface of a printed circuit board and readily bonded to the printed circuit board by heating and pressing between hot plates to cause melting of and soldering with the particles or chopped fibers of the solder alloy contained in the soldering layer at the portions just between each set of the metal wires and the connecting terminals on the printed circuit board due to the better heat conduction there than in the other portions at which the soldering layer is left electrically insulating.

    摘要: An electrical connector is provided in which one of the connecting members includes a mating section with a radial face of relatively soft metal disposed around an entry aperture and protected by a shroud member extending axially towards the other member to form an enlarged opening and internally having rotational coupling surfaces such as screw threads for coupling the members, the other other connecting member including a sleeve of harder metal housing at least one insulated contact hermetically mounted in a glass insert with the contact arranged to extend into the aperture of the one connecting member and an integral mating portion facing the second member with a radial flange formed by a circumferential undercut to be outwardly deflectable away from the radial face, the radial flange outwardly forming a deflectable beam section with radially inner and outer frontwardly converging surfaces and an axially extending cutting edge formed thereby, the sleeve outwardly including rotational coupling surfaces such as screw threads for rotational insertion into the shroud member aligning the cutting edge with the radial face while forcing the edge into the face in sealing penetration, the end of the sleeve opposite the cutting edge being adapted for connection to a conventional connector. In one embodiment, the radially inner surface is at an acute angle of about 30.degree. and is longer than the outer surface to form an inner area of pressure engagement when the beam section is deflected. In a second embodiment, the cutting edge and adjoining surfaces are on a second deflectable beam section formed by a groove in the first beam section to provide multiple deflecting members.
