    摘要: A terminal strap is formed having turned down side edges and a turned down frontal tab for supporting the strap in spaced relation to the floor of a terminal recess formed in the molded case of a circuit breaker. An inverted U-shaped lug is slideably received on the strap with upwardly formed flanges engaging the turned down side edges. Lips formed on the deflectable sidewalls of the terminal recess retain the lug in place. The strap is also formed with a tapped hole to accommodate a bolted joint binding head screw or wire keeper in lieu of the lug.

    摘要: The subject matter of this invention is a leakproof feedthrough electrical terminal for bringing leads out from the interior of a liquid cooled hollow shaft. The novel feedthrough terminal includes a lower female terminal member which has a cylindrical, internally threaded portion positioned in an insulating bushing located in an opening in the shaft wall. The cylinder has a tapered shoulder which cooperates with the bushing to provide positive sealing against leakage of the cooling liquid. An upper male terminal member has an externally threaded stud to engage the internally threaded lower cylinder and also includes a second threaded stud which projects beyond the shaft wall to receive a terminal lug. When the threaded stud of the upper terminal engages the internally threaded cylinder, the entire lower terminal moves upwardly and the tapered shoulder exerts a wedging action on the insulating bushing forcing it outward against the wall of the opening in the shaft thereby sealing the hole and preventing leakage of the cooling liquid. Consequently, the feedthrough terminal provides a liquid seal without use of potting compounds, is of separable construction so that the terminal is easily assembled and disassembled thereby making maintenance and repair of the components located in the hollow shaft simpler and less time consuming.

    摘要: A cable clamp of the type exbodying rotatably coupled male and female clamping members with respective tails adapted to be secured together to effect clamping action, is particularly characterized by arching of diametrically opposed cheeks of the female member away from opposite sides of the cylindrical male member which are in radially opposed relation to such cheeks, the male member being provided with a bore extending diametrically therethrough and the cheeks of the female member having openings which, in an open position of the clamp, are aligned with the bore of the male member so as to receive the end of the cable; the arching of the cheeks providing pockets between the cheeks and the opposed surfaces of the male member, in which the traversing portions of the cable, in response to closing of the clamp, will be distorted into offset bends without any shearing action which would weaken the cable.

    摘要: Respective bus bars of adjacent plug-in bus duct sections of a multiple busway are electrically interconnected by a removable unitary phase collector assembly which includes a plurality of stacked insulator blocks and a plurality double-ended stab connectors interposed adjacent pairs of the insulator blocks. The opposite ends of the collector assembly are inserted through transversely aligned access openings in the duct sections and the jaws on the ends of the stab connector engage and electrically interconnect respective bus bars. Preferably, the number of stab connectors corresponds to the number of bus bars in the duct sections so that all the bus bars can be simultaneously interconnected in a one-step installation operation. The duct sections are mechanically joined by a plurality of fasteners connecting adjacent side walls together.
