    摘要: A bearing device (10) for a motor (12) includes a bearing set (20) and a shaft (14). The bearing set includes first and second bearings (21, 26), which are made of sintered metallic material and ceramic material respectively. An annular recess (24) is defined in one end of the first bearing. The second bearing is received in the recess. Each bearing defines a central hole (22, 27). The central holes have a same diameter. The motor includes a rotor (30), a stator (32), and a bearing sleeve (34). In assembly, one end of the shaft is fixed in a center of the rotor. The second bearing is inserted into the recess. The bearing set is fixed within the bearing sleeve. The stator is fixed around the bearing sleeve. The shaft is rotatably received in the central holes. During operation, the shaft rotates smoothly and stably in the bearing set.

    摘要: The non-biasing guiding mechanism related to CD-R drives is used to drive a data access device to move along a particular direction and to access the data on a CD. The shaft of the non-biasing guiding mechanism is fixed by an axis-fixing member. The axis-fixing member has ring parts on the opposite ends and a receiver integrally formed with the ring part in a concentric way. The ring part is coiled by a coil and sets inside the drive, and the hole is used for positioning the shaft and sets outside the drive. Therefore, the biasing problem of the shaft can be solved by using the axis-fixing member.

    摘要: Oil-retaining configuration in partially filled or fully filled dynamic-pressure bearing system for miniaturized, low-profile spindle motor. A radial bearing section and a magnetically balanced thrust bearing section compose the bearing system. An oil taper seal is configured in between the rotor and the sleeve, radially beyond the radial bearing section, and not axially beyond the thrust bearing section. The taper-seal gap slopes radially inward, flaring with further separation from the rotor undersurface, in a configuration that lengthens the tapered space functioning as, and enlarges the capacity within, the taper-seal area, and that sets up the oil boundary surface oriented sloping radially inward. Centrifugal force during rotation thus acts pressing in on the oil boundary surface, fortifying the sealing strength. The oil-retaining configuration allows for span, between twin constituents provided as the radial bearing section, sufficient for increased conical stiffness even in a reduced-profile structure.

    摘要: Arrangements are described wherein fluid is supplied under pressure to lubricate and replenish the fluid film located between the rotating, inner bearing sleeve and the outer, stationary sleeve insert of the bearing assemblies of a motor. The sleeve insert is provided with fluid metering passages that permit lubricating fluid to pass through the body of the sleeve insert. The sleeve insert is disposed radially within a sleeve insert holder, and a fluid gap is defined between the two components. During operation, vibration of the rotor shaft within the stator bore is damped by the fluid spring created by the metering of fluid through the sleeve insert. As a result, friction is reduced and the lifespan of the motor increased.

Since the upper outer ring end portion 12b protrudes from the hub main body 6A, fitting pressure is not exerted on the upper outer ring end portion 12b of the outer ring 12 upon fitting, so that the generation of unnecessary deformation or the like can be avoided.
