    摘要: A laser coupler comprises photodiodes formed on a photodiode IC, a microprism mounted on the photodiode IC to lie on the photodiodes, and a semiconductor laser mounted nearby on the photodiode IC such that a beam of light entering into the microprism through its incident surface is bifurcated and introduced onto the photodiodes. A difference between the amount of incident light to one of the photodiodes and the amount of incident light to the other of the photodiodes is corrected by adjusting a difference between the gain of a current-voltage converter amplifier coupled to one of the photodiodes and the gain of a current-voltage converter amplifier coupled to the other photodiode. Thus, the laser coupler can be fabricated economically.

    摘要: A signal strength detector comprises first, second and third transistors of the same conductivity type. The emitter electrodes of each transistor are connected together and coupled with one of a pair of dc supply lines. The collector electrodes of the first and second transistors are each coupled with the other of the pair of dc supply lines. The base electrode of the first and second transistors are each coupled via a resistor to the base electrode of the third transistor. The collector electrode of the third transistor is effective to provide a source of output current which is representative of a differential signal level between the base electrodes of the first and second transistors.

The received signal strength is indicated by the number of luminous elements which are lit. The signal level indicator may include cicuitry for converting arbitrarily selected changes in the received signal to changes the indicator normally detects to thereby effect the sequential actuation of the luminous elements in accordance with the arbitrarily selected changes in the received signal.

    摘要: A frequency counting apparatus is advantageously utilized as a frequency counter for displaying in a digital manner the frequency being received by a radio receiver. The inventive frequency counting apparatus includes a quartz resonator adapted to oscillate at the frequency of 2.sup.n Hz where n is a positive integer, for example 32,768 Hz, and a microprocessor including a programming unit, an operating unit for making operation in accordance with a program of the programming apparatus, a counter and a control unit. The program steps of the programming unit are made to progress based on the oscillation output signal of the quartz resonator. The counter is supplied with a local oscillation signal of a radio receiver. The local oscillation signal supplied to the counter is gated for a predetermined time period determined in accordance with the program of the programming unit, whereby the local oscillation signal is counted. The count value in the counter is multiplied or divided by a prescribed correction factor preloaded in the programming unit by means of the operating unit.

    摘要: A display in a superheterodyne receiver having a local oscillator, adapted for displaying in a digital manner the frequency of a signal being received by the receiver by counting the local oscillation frequency by means of a preset counter wherein the data for the prescribed intermediate frequency or the complement thereof is preset. A reference voltage is generated by means of a variable resistor for correcting the difference between the preset value for the prescribed intermediate frequency and the actual intermediate frequency of the intermediate frequency stage of a receiver as actually manufactured, and a comparison voltage is obtained by digital/analog converting the output of a multiple-bit counter which is stepped responsive to clock pulses. The reference voltage and the comparison voltage are compared and the preset counter is supplied through a gate controlled responsive to the comparison output with the clock pulses of the number associated with the difference between both voltages, whereby the preset value in the preset counter is corrected.

    摘要: A tuning meter circuit for use with a pulse count FM demodulator of an FM receiver. The circuitry comprises a limiter circuit for amplitude limiting a frequency modulated input signal to produce a train of pulses the width of which varies in accordance with the frequency modulation of the input signal; a pulse shaping circuit for generating a trigger pulse for each of the pulses of the pulse train; a monostable multivibrator responsive to each trigger pulse for generating a train of pulses of substantially constant width, the number of which per unit time interval varies in accordance with the frequency modulation of the input signal; a low pass filter responsive to the last mentioned pulse train to produce a low frequency signal and thereby demodulate the frequency modulated signal; a difference amplifier also responsive to the last-mentioned pulse train, the difference amplifier having a threshold level at which it changes state; a tuning meter responsive to the direct current component of the output of the difference amplifier; the duty cycle of the monostable multivibrator and the threshold level of the difference amplifier being so related that the tuning indicator indicates the FM receiver is tuned correctly when a signal of exact intermediate frequency is applied to the limiter circuit; and where the monostable multivibrator includes means for varying the duty cycle thereof to compensate for undesired variations in the FM demodulator.

    摘要: An indicating circuit for an FM stereophonic signal receiver for providing dual indications of tuning and channel balance. The indicating circuit is comprised of a tuning detecting circuit for providing a first signal admitting of a magnitude and polarity which represents the relative tuning condition of the FM receiver with respect to a received FM signal. The indicating circuit further includes respective channel level detecting circuits for providing respective signals admitting of magnitudes that represent the levels of the audio signals transmitted through the respective stereophonic signal channels of the receiver. A signal indicating meter provides indications representing the magnitudes and polarities of signals applied thereto and a switching circuit selectively supplies the output of the tuning detecting circuit or the outputs of the channel level detecting circuits to the indicating meter, whereby the relative tuning condition of the receiver as well as the channel balance of the receiver is selectively indicated.
