    摘要: In one embodiment, a capacitive switching system may include a plurality of capacitive switches and at least one processor. Each of the capacitive switches may include an activation surface offset from an energized conductor by a dielectric region and a capacitance that is dependent upon an electric field generated by the energized conductor. The at least one processor may execute machine readable instructions to transform a change in the capacitance of one of the capacitive switches into a first control signal indicative of a first active state. A rejection delay may be activated by the at least one processor after the change in the capacitance of the one of the capacitive switches. The rejection delay can remain activated for a predetermined time period. A second control signal may be prevented from indicating a second active state while the rejection delay is activated.

    摘要: A method for entering a special mode of an electric device in which the special mode such as a test mode exists. According to the method, at least two coded keys are continuously inputted. From an initial key input, the coded keys are inputted in respectively predetermined amounts of time to enter the special mode. The special mode is not entered when: (1) only one of the coded keys is inputted; (2) the continuously inputted keys are not inputted in the respectively predetermined times; or (3) a combination of the continuously inputted keys is not the same with a combination of predetermined keys.

    摘要: A dialing apparatus for transmitting a dial signal to a communication line comprises a numerical input key, a generator for generating an audible sound according to the depression of the numerical input key, a transmitter for transmitting a dial signal according to the depression of the numerical input key to the communication line at an independent timing from the generation of the audible sound, a memory to store the data according to the numerical value of the depressed key, an instruction key to instruct the transmitter to transmit the dial signal according to the data stored in the memory, and a second instruction key to instruct the generator to generate the audible sound according to the data stored in the memory. A double stage type switch may be used as a numerical input key. When the switch at the first stage of the double stage type numerical input key is turned on, the audible sound according to the numerical key is generated. When the switch at the second stage is turned on, the dial signal according to the numerical key is transmitted to the line.

    摘要: A keyboard entry system is disclosed which comprises a keyboard which includes a plurality of letter keys, one for each letter of a selected language. The entry system responds to conventional sequential activation of individual keys by providing output signals indicative of the respective individual letters associated with the activated keys to an application program such as a word processor or printer control program. The keyboard entry system also responds to chords of simultaneously activated multiple keys by using these chords to retrieve stored words from a dictionary. It is the stored words rather than the entered chords which are applied as inputs to the application program. This system allows an operator to use both conventional sequential key entry techniques and chorded entry techniques for rapid data entry.

    摘要: To permit multiple use of data entry keys, and to effect different circuit connections by a single key, operation of any one of the keys is associated with time slots, or time windows so that, upon operation of anyone of the keys, a course, or sequence of time slots at intervals is initiated, each interval or time slot being temporally associated with a specific circuit connection. The length of the time course, that is, the number of time slots or time intervals is selected by continued operation of anyone of the control buttons, this continuance of operation or operating of another button, entering the then pertaining circuit into the system. An indicator is provided, continuously indicating the then pertaining time slot, and an additional indicator providing a symbolic output representative of the finally established circuit connection. The system may be used with a graphic display, such as a pointer pencil and a screen, the circuit connections establishing representation, sequentially, of electrical components which sequentially appear on the screen at the location indicated by the pointer so that, upon removal of the pointer, the then indicated symbol will persist on the screen, thereby permitting rapid interchange of components and electronically drawing electrical circuit diagrams.

    摘要: An input system includes a keyboard, an emitting apparatus, and a receiving apparatus. The keyboard includes a number of signal pins. The emitting apparatus includes a number of keys, an encoder, and an emitter. When one of the keys is pressed, the encoder outputs a first signal and the emitter converts the first signal to a wireless signal. The receiving apparatus includes a decoder and a receiver. The decoder includes a number of outputs. The outputs of the decoder are connected to the signal pins of the keyboard respectively. The receiver receives the wireless signal of the emitter and reconverts the wireless signal to the first signal. The decoder decodes the first signal and the outputs of the decoder outputs a decoded signal. The decoded signal is used to control voltage level of the signal pins.
