The head comprises a cavity in fluid communication with the adapter bore and having a second diameter larger than the first diameter, an adapter outlet located in the upper portion of the adapter body and in fluid communication with the cavity, and a handle extending radially from the head. The protrusion extends radially from the adapter body between the upper and lower portions of the adapter body.

The paint tray may be adapted for coupling to a paint container, and may comprise a base, one or more sidewalls extending in an upward direction from the base, a reservoir for holding paint, wherein the reservoir is defined by the base and the one or more sidewalls, securing mechanism in at least one sidewall of the one or more sidewalls for coupling the paint tray to the paint container, and drainage spout in the at least one sidewall, wherein the drainage spout is adapted to drain paint from the paint container into the paint tray via inverted placement of the paint container on the paint tray, or drain paint from the paint tray into the paint container via placement of the paint tray onto the paint container. Methods of using the paint tray and a paint tray system are also disclosed.

摘要： A roller for applying paint or other liquid or semi-liquid substances to surfaces. The roller includes a tubular frame that extends in a cylindrical shape. This tubular frame has two ends: a first end tapers outward (away from the main body of the tubular frame) to an enclosed conical point or apex. A second end is open and adapted to permit access to the interior volume of the tubular frame by a shaft of a roller frame. The open second end of the tubular frame permits selective removal and insertion of the paint roller shaft into the tubular frame. Typically, the tubular frame is held in place on the shaft by friction. A cover wrap dimensioned to circumferentially envelop the tubular frame is also included in the assembly; this cover wrap has a liquid-absorbent outer surface adapted for temporarily retaining paint, stain, or other liquid or semi-liquid substances.

摘要： A spray roller system for application of architectural paints coating, includes an extension tube, a spray head mounted on a distal end of the extension tube, and the in-line valve with a trigger mounted on a proximal end of the extension tube, and a roller handle removable mounted on the extension tube adjacent the spray head. The spray roller system can spray and back roll a coating on a down stroke and roll on each up stroke. When the roller handle is removed from the extension tube, it can be used to hand roll sensitive wall areas. With the roller handle removed, extension tube, spray head, and in-line valve can be used as a spray extension to apply coatings in hard to reach areas.

The communicating recess (37) communicates the paint transfer surface (34) of the roller (5) with paint from the paint container (9) through the inlet port (35). The paint transfer surface (34) of the roller (5) cooperates with the inner arcuate surface (20) of the housing (3) in order to form a seal around the periphery of the communicating recess (37) when the roller (5) is stationary in the housing (3) to seal the paint in the communicating recess (37).

摘要： A system and method are provided for conditioning paint roller cover fabric inline in a continuous paint roller manufacturing process. The system and method provide an inline fabric conditioning unit upstream of the point in the process that the paint roller fabric cover strip is wrapped about the outer side of the outer strip, the fabric conditioning unit including a fabric conditioning device that conditions the paint roller fabric cover strip as it is being fed towards the outer side of the outer strip. The fabric conditioning unit may be used to perforate the fabric, to remove loose fibers from the fabric side of the paint roller fabric cover, to buff the paint roller fabric, and to orient the paint roller cover fibers. The continuous paint roller manufacturing process includes steps of feeding an inner strip and an outer strip towards a mandrel, wrapping the inner strip and the outer strip about the mandrel in offset relation, applying a strip adhesive to at least a portion of an outer side of the inner strip and at least a portion of an outer side of the outer strip, feeding a paint roller fabric cover strip having a fabric side and a backing side towards the outer side of the outer strip, the fabric side comprising loose fibers and attached fibers, forming a paint roller tube by wrapping the paint roller fabric cover strip about the outer strip at a point in the process after the strip adhesive has been applied to the outer side of the outer strip such that the backing side contacts the strip adhesive, applying compression to the paint roller tube, and cutting the paint roller tubes into like lengths.
