摘要:
A method for dressing a grinding worm that is to be used in forming a conical face gear that meshingly engages a conical involute pinion. The method employs true conjugate action between a theoretical conical involute pinion and a conical face gear to accurately position a dressing tool relative to a grinding worm.

A tool 1 comprises a single rib dressing roll 5 and two semi-rib dressing rolls 10, 11 separated by spacers 13. The two flanks 31, 33 of a first lead 32 of a grinding worm 30 are dressed by the two flanks 6, 7 of the single rib dressing roll, and the two flanks 35, 38 of a second lead 36 are dressed by the two flanks 14, 16 of the semi-rib dressing rolls. Fast dressing with a long service life and a short dressing stroke are thus obtained.

A narrow guide gear is mounted on an axially facing side of a gear-shaped tool. The tool effects a precision working of the flanks of gearlike workpieces. The teeth of the tool have an abrasive surface, that is a surface which does not have uniformly directed cutting edges. During dressing of the tool tooth flanks with a gear-shaped dressing tool, the guide gear mates with a guide pinion which is arranged next to the dressing tool. Adjusting structure is provided for relatively rotatably connecting the precision working tool and the guide gear to one another, so that during dressing a forced guiding of the dressing tool exists.
摘要:
A control circuit contains, instead of the otherwise conventional feeler or scanner contact, a displacement pick-up or displacement path transmitter which delivers pulsating signals representative of the irregularities of the scanned grinding wheel. The effective value of such pulsating signals, measured over a scanning or feeling interval, is dependent upon the wear of the grinding wheel or constitutes a measure of the compensating adjustments or repositioning displacements of the grinding wheel. The evaluation of the output signals of the displacement path transmitter or pick-up delivers data concerning the properties of the surface of the grinding wheel, the time during which there is to be undertaken a compensation feed of the grinding wheel, the frequency of the compensating feed and the degree of the compensating or adjustment feeds of the grinding wheel, and specifically, for the positional readjustment and dressing of the grinding wheel both in axial and also in radial direction.
