Abstract: A multifunctional ship for the collection and recycling of ocean debris and the system thereof may include a hull; a detection device provided on the hull to detect ocean debris floating on the sea or deposited on the seabed; a collection device installed on the hull to collect the ocean debris detected by the detection device; a sorting device installed on the hull to sort the ocean debris collected by the collection device; a compressing device installed on the hull to compress the sorted ocean debris to compress and remove moisture and reduce the volume; a waste plastic recycling device installed on the hull to produce recycled oil by thermally decomposing the waste plastic compressed in the compressing device; a storage tank installed at the bottom of the hull to store the recycled oil produced; and a purifier for purifying wastewater generated in the process of producing recycled oil.

Abstract: An adapter method and system includes a first side deflector, a second side deflector, and a top deflector coupled to the first side deflector and the second side deflector. The system may further include an internal deflector coupled to the first, second, and top deflectors. A first leg is coupled to the first side deflector and a second leg is coupled to the second side deflector. The legs are adjustable between a first position and a second position. The first, second, and top deflector define an entrance region for channeling wood-based debris into the chute of a woodchipper. Each side deflector may include a coupling mechanism for attaching to a woodchipper. Each coupling mechanism has an aperture. Each leg may telescope within a respective side deflector.

Abstract: A wood chipper knife includes a knife body and, in relation to a vertical axis of the wood chipper knife, at least one cutter side, which comprises a top cutting edge portion and a bottom cutting edge portion that intersect to form a cutting edge. The bottom cutting edge portion includes a planar wood attacking portion, which begins at the cutting edge and towards the knife body is followed by a recess. The recess is a pressure release recess, which, from the wood attacking portion, abruptly falls to a bottom of the pressure release recess, and which stretches from the wood attacking portion to the knife body. The knife body comprises a chip guiding portion, which, from the pressure release recess, rises towards the knife body.

Abstract: A wood chip collection system having a stump grinding wheel, a chip chute and a chip collection bin. The chute is positioned such that chips generated by the rotation of the wheel when engaged in a stump will be directed into the chute. The chute, in turn is sized and shaped to permit the energy in the chips to move the chips into a collection bin. The bin is positioned adjacent to and in alignment with the trailing edge of the chute in order to effectively receive the chips.

Abstract: A process for the production of OSB wood-based panels including: a) producing wood strands from suitable wood logs; b) treating at least part of the wood strands with steam at a temperature between 80° C. and 120° C. and a pressure between 0.5 bar and 2 bar; c) drying the steam-treated wood strands; d) gluing the steam-treated and dried wood strands and, optionally, gluing the non-steam treated wood strands with at least one binder; e) scattering the glued wood strands onto a conveyor belt; and f) pressing the glued wood strands into an OSB wood-based board. The steam treatment takes place after the wood strands have been produced and made available, or after the wood strands have been sifted and separated according to the use of the wood strands for the middle and top layers of the panel. Also, an OSB wood-based panel made using the process.

Abstract: A flywheel and paddle assembly for a chipping or shredding apparatus, including a wood chipper, a brush chipper, and a leaf shredder. The assembly has a flywheel attached coaxially to a drive shaft. The flywheel has at least one aperture extending from the front side to the back side, and carries at least one knife adjacent to the at least one aperture. The knife presents a knife edge on the front side of the flywheel. A paddle is rotatably mounted coaxially to the drive shaft adjacent to the back side of the flywheel. The paddle is configured to rotate on the drive shaft independently of the flywheel. A chipping or shredding apparatus incorporating the aforesaid flywheel and paddle assembly is also disclosed.

Abstract: The disclosure discloses a cutterhead assembly of a branch grinder, including a cutterhead body, a center shaft disposed in a center of the cutterhead body and at least two installing shafts circumferentially distributed by using the center shaft as an axis, each of the at least two installing shafts is successively provided with a limiting plate, a first blade, a first bush, a second blade and a second bush from top to bottom, the first blade and the second blade are in clearance fit with a corresponding installing shaft in the at least two installing shafts, a center of the limiting plate is positioned at an upper end of the center shaft and a gap is kept between the limiting plate and an upper end of the first blade, an outer end of the limiting plate is stretched into the installing shafts and fixed, through the above installation, the first blade and the second blade can be completely rotated in 360 degrees relative to the installing shafts, in a circumferential rotating process of the blade, shredded wood can be taken out from the center of the cutterhead body, and a problem, that material blockage is caused to affect a cutting effect of the cutterhead assembly due to the material is stacked in the center of the cutterhead body 1, is avoided.

Abstract: A chain flail debarking apparatus including a flail chamber accommodating at least first and second rotatable flail shafts being supported on a movable flail assembly framework, and both of the first and second rotatable flail shafts having a plurality of chains, a disc chipper for receiving the debarked logs and trees from the flail chamber and generating wood chips having a desired shape and size, and a single drive for driving both the disc chipper and at least the first and second rotatable flail shafts in the flail chamber. A pivotable feed roller is located adjacent an inlet to the flail chamber for sensing a diameter of the logs and trees to be debarked and moving the movable flail assembly framework, relative to the base frame, so as to maintain the logs and trees being debarked in the flail chamber, substantially centered with respect to both the first and second rotatable flail shafts so that both upwardly and downwardly facing surfaces of the logs and trees being debarked are substantially equally treated.
