摘要： There is provided a press machine which can apply a large compression force to a mold as well as impart smooth vibration only in a rectilinear advancing direction to the mold, and thereby can improve the press-formability. A main slide and a sub-slide constitute a slide and at the same time a cylinder-piston mechanism. During press-forming, a compression force is transmitted to the sub-slide (an upper mold) through hydraulic pressure applied interlockingly with driving of the main slide, and the sub-slide is vibrated with the hydraulic pressure being periodically changed. Favorable press-forming can be performed even under relatively difficult press-forming conditions, by controlling the vibration such that a vibration frequency of the sub-slide (the upper mold) becomes 9 Hz or higher but 33.3 Hz or lower and a vibration amplitude of the sub-slide becomes 0.05 mm or larger but 0.5 mm or smaller.

摘要： An improved method and apparatus are provided for constructing and operating a linear actuator, and equipment incorporating a linear actuator, by operatively connecting a pressure biasing pneumatic arrangement between the driving member and the driven member of a mechanical linear actuator for applying a unidirectional biasing force between the driving and driven members, along an axis of motion, regardless of the location or movement of the driving and driven elements with respect to one another along the axis of motion. The pneumatic biasing arrangement is also configured, connected and operated to reduce the force which must be exerted by the driving and driven members in extending and retracting the linear actuator. The pneumatic biasing arrangement may further be configured for preferentially aiding extension or retraction of the actuator.

摘要： A method and device are provided to prepare a cutting tool such as used for die cutting sheet material, by mounting the cutting members in a mounting support with the method and device controlling the operational stages of the preparation. The device includes improvements in the press which are that a plurality of individual pressure elements are arranged on a support surface of a lower bed in rows and columns to form a rectangular configuration with each of the elements being individually controlled so that different groups of elements can be actuated to act on a pressing plate depending on the size of the cutting tool being prepared. To insure an accurate and equal pressure, the elements in each corner are actuated with a low pressure to bring the pressing plate and the tool being acted on into contact with the pressure surface of the upper bed and then high pressure is applied to the selected pressure element to insure the securing of the cuttings blades and members into a support of the cutting tool.

摘要： A platen press, for the planar and parallel pressing of particle board and like materials comprises a press bed and a press plate, one of which is movable and is provided with a hydraulic system for developing the pressing force. A pair of spacer bars are provided on the press bed to flank the particle board and a set of bearing cylinders urges the movable press member to clamp the movable member against the spacers, thereby imparting a bend or distortion to the movable press member. According to the invention, this distortion is measured and the measured value is used to operate the main press cylinders to eliminate the distortion and ensure parallel compression of the particle-board mass.
