    摘要: A recording apparatus is provided and in one exemplary embodiment includes a tray, a first roller, a second roller opposing the first roller, a recording part, and an urging member. The tray can have a tip part, which can include a first tip portion and a second tip portion. The second tip portion can be disposed at an upstream position relative to the first tip portion in a first direction. The recording part can be configured to record on the medium mounted on the tray, and the urging member can be configured to urge the second roller towards the first roller to transfer the tray in the first direction. In some embodiments, a width of the first tip portion can be narrower than a width of the second tip portion. The first and second tip portions can each include tapered portions that have thicknesses that decrease in the first direction.

The apparatus also includes a plurality of imaging pixels modulated by the energy pulse width modulator and conveying modulated energy to a host material. The host material may be in close proximity to a receiving medium and the modulated energy may release the dye from the host material into the receiving medium.

    摘要: An ink sheet damage calculating unit compares image element density data of each of areas into which an image is divided by an image area dividing unit with a first threshold to calculate the total number of pixels each having density data equal to or larger than the first threshold for each area, and then compares the total number of pixels calculated for each area with a second threshold. A printing operation selecting unit uses a remaining area of an already-used ink area for formation of a next print image when the total number of pixels is smaller than the second threshold in every one of all the areas, and uses an ink area in a new unit area for formation of a next print image when the total number of pixels is equal to or larger than the second threshold.

    摘要: In a thermal transfer printer, before a thermal head transfers an ink component of a yellow region on a recording paper, the thermal head is preheated up to a transfer temperature and by sublimating a black ink component constituting a mark pattern during preheating, records used information in the mark pattern. After turn-on of an electric power, when an optical sensor reads the used information, an ink ribbon driving mechanism is driven until the optical sensor detects the rear mark pattern in which the used information is not recorded to locate the start of an unused region of an ink ribbon. Thus, residual amount of the ink ribbon is grasped accurately and the start of the unused region is located accurately without increasing the costs of ink ribbon.

A voltage is selectively applied to the heat generating elements when the line thermal head abuts a platen with the ink film and a printing sheet sequentially overlapped from the line thermal head disposed therebetween.

    摘要: In direct transfer, a card is transported to an image forming portion, same size, reduced or gradation corrected image data is used for forming an image to the entire surface of at least one side of a card. In indirect transfer, intermediate transfer film is transported to an image forming portion, and same size, reduced or gradation corrected image data is used to form images on the intermediate transfer film, then while transporting the intermediate transfer film to a transfer portion, a card is also transported to the transfer portion where images formed on the intermediate transfer film are transferred to the entire area of at least one side of the card. Image data size is varied. By switching between a direct transfer method and an indirect transfer method makes either transfer method applicable thereby improving printer user convenience, enables the forming of beautiful printing to the entire print surface, lowers running costs and enables high applicability of the printing system.
