    摘要: A wheel assembly to be coupled to a hub of a vehicle, may include arcuate inner rim assemblies removably coupled together to define a circular inner rim to be coupled to the hub of the vehicle. Each arcuate inner rim assembly may include an arcuate inner rim segment, and an arcuate inner ring segment extending radially outward from the arcuate inner rim segment. The wheel assembly may also include arcuate outer rim assemblies removably coupled together to define a circular outer rim. Each arcuate outer rim assembly may include an arcuate outer rim segment, and an arcuate outer ring segment extending radially inward from the arcuate outer rim segment. The wheel assembly may also include gas springs operatively coupled between the circular inner rim and the circular outer rim to provide a gas suspension for relative movement therebetween.

    摘要: An adjustable airless tire system includes spring-loaded shock absorbers to provide suspension to absorb impact energy and damp spring oscillations; and a metallic hawser loop to transfer the impact energy from the spring-loaded shock absorbers of the ground contact surface of the tire to whole spring-loaded shock absorbers within the tire to maximize their suspension potential. A control component adjusts a tension and a size of the ground contact surface of the tire according to the road conditions, which improve its oil efficiency, comfortability, controllability and safety. An enhanced rim of a wheel keeps an appropriate distance from the tire to protect the spring-loaded shock absorbers and provide limited moving ability for the vehicle if the airless system loses their functions. A curved tire forms a closed space between the tire and the rim to prevent foreign objects from sticking between them.

The suspension unit also includes at least one motion resisting component adapted to retain the structural member at the nominal size and/or shape thereof under torques smaller than the maximal torque.

The sinusoidal shaped form is arranged in the second and the third sections of the arms. The present invention is said to provide for a cost effective wheel with good shock absorbing properties.

A tangential elasticity is created on the wheel being braked, while from the moment of locking the brake the wheel begins to perform cyclic pendulum-like rotations around its axis. The wheel being braked is affixed to the hub of the vehicle by elastic elements, for example springs. The elastic elements can be fixed in an intermediate ring, disposed between the crown and the central disc of the wheel, if the wheel is not built as an integral body, or in sockets formed in telescopically disposed flanges on members fixed respectively to the wheel disc and the hub of the vehicle, if the wheel is constructed as a single integral body.
