Abstract:
According to an aspect of the invention, a latching mechanism/device is provided, as well as a method of maintaining a closed position between opposing first and second portions of a container. The latching mechanism includes a latch attached to the first portion and a latch keeper integrally molded to the second portion. The latch keeper includes an elongated keeper slot and a recessed pocket formed in the keeper slot, such that when at least a portion of the latch is received within the recessed pocket, the container is closed and/or sealed.
Abstract:
A container (10) for holding granular or powdered material. The container (10) includes walls, a collar (14), a lid (16) and a latch (200). The walls define an interior space (26) and an upper portion, the upper portion defining a sealing flange (30) and an opening to the interior space. The collar (14) is attached to the upper portion. The lid 816) is attached to the collar (14) for positioning between an open position and a closed position, and adapted to cover the opening while in the closed position. The latch (200) is attached to an outer surface of the lid (16). The latch may have an actuator (202) rotatable in two directions relative to the lid and detachably engaged to a catch (220) which protrudes from an outside surface of the collar (14).
Abstract:
A spring device for use with a container latch is provided. The spring device includes first and second arms, each connected to a middle portion, each of the first and second arms have an attachment structure positioned at a distal end thereof. A spring portion is connected to the middle portion and extends away from the middle portion, wherein the spring portion has an arch shape, wherein the spring portion is not co-planar with either of the first and second arms. An attachment sleeve is positioned at a terminating end of the spring portion, the terminating end positioned is substantially proximate to the distal ends of each of the first and second arms, wherein the attachment sleeve is movable relative to the first and second arms.
Abstract:
A console box includes a housing defining an article accommodating space therein and having an opening formed at a front side thereof; a cover coupled to the front side of the housing via hinge couplers disposed at opposite sides of the cover; dampers, each being disposed between each of the hinge couplers of the cover and the housing and controlling an opening speed of the cover; and a torsion spring disposed between each of the hinge couplers of the cover and the housing and elastically supporting the cover. The console box further includes a hinge cover disposed outside each of the hinge couplers of the cover and preventing the cover and the torsion spring from separating from each other.
Abstract:
A sterile container for the sterilization of surgical instruments is provided. The sterile container has a bottom wall, a side wall and a lid which, in a closed position of the sterile container, has a lid rim which engages over a free rim arranged on a side of the side wall that faces away from the bottom wall. At least one projection element is arranged between the bottom wall and the free rim. The projection element projects from the side wall in the direction of an outside of the sterile container at least as far as the lid rim and is located at a shorter distance from the bottom wall than the lid rim. The side wall, in a wall area between the at least one projection element and the free rim, does not protrude in the direction of a center of the sterile container over the side wall.
Abstract:
A communication box includes a box body and a box lid. The box body has an accommodation space therein. The box lid includes a lid body and two engaging members. Upper and lower ends of the two engaging members are detachably connected to the box body. The two engaging members are respectively and pivotally connected two opposing sides of the lid body, so that the two engaging members are rotatable relative to the lid body. Compared the conventional communication box, the communication box of the present invention can be opened in different ways. Through one of the two engaging members, either side of the box lid can be opened. Alternatively, the box lid can be detached from the box body through disengagement of the two engaging members. The present invention can be used in different occasions and is convenient for operation, without limitation of space.
Abstract:
An open ended container with locking lid can provide a number of features. The lid and the container have cooperating threads. The lid has also has a locking mechanism connected to the lid, such as from a downwardly extending wall. The container has a stop, in some embodiments accessible from below, such as with an upwardly extending abutment of the locking mechanism. In fact, some embodiments have a stop as a portion of teeth in which at least some of the teeth which are not in contact with an abutment of the locking mechanism, engage the threads of the lid to assist in retaining the lid on the container.
Abstract:
A container includes a receptacle, a lid, and a lid lock. The lid is arranged to move between an opened position uncovering an opening formed in the receptacle and a closed position covering the opening. The lid lock is used to lock the lid in the closed position.
Abstract:
A latch assembly of the present invention comprises a link member and a latch body. The latch assembly is adapted for use with a storage container having a container body and a container lid connected to the container body. The container lid is connected to the container body in a manner to permit movement of the lid between open and closed positions relative to the container body. The link member is moveably connected to the container body. The latch body includes at least one lug and at least one retaining arm. The lug is integral with the latch body and has a lug recess adapted for receiving a first portion of the link member in a manner to permit pivoting movement of the link member relative to the lug. The retainer arm is integral with the latch body and is adapted for engaging the link member in a manner to prevent the link member from being released from the lug recess. The latch assembly is adapted for movement relative to the container body between a locked position and an unlocked position. When the latch assembly is in its locked position, the latch assembly engages the container body and the lid in a manner to maintain the lid in its closed position. When the latch assembly is in its unlocked position, the latch assembly is disengaged from the lid to permit movement of lid toward its open position.
Abstract:
A container and lid assembly includes a container, lid and handle members for carrying and securing together the handle and lid, and the lid has recesses oriented in the top wall of the lid such that a user's hand is received in the recess when a user is grasping one of the handles.
