摘要： A recording-material-transporting apparatus includes: a transport unit that transports a recording material and causes the recording material to pass through an upstream location and a downstream location that is positioned downstream of the upstream location in a recording-material-transporting direction in which the recording material is transported; an upstream reader including a light receiver that receives light reflected by the recording material, the upstream reader reading an image that is formed on a portion of the recording material positioned at the upstream location and that is formed on one surface of the recording material; and a downstream reader including a light receiver that receives light reflected by the recording material, the downstream reader reading an image that is formed on a portion of the recording material positioned at the downstream location and that is formed on other surface of the recording material. The light receiver of the upstream reader is positioned downstream of the upstream location in the recording-material-transporting direction, and/or the light receiver of the downstream reader is positioned upstream of the downstream location in the recording-material-transporting direction.

When the pair of movable transport rollers is to be moved in the axial direction, first transport rollers in at least one of the pairs of first transport rollers are separated not to hold at least part of a portion of the transported sheet located upstream from the pair of movable transport rollers.

摘要： A conveyor includes a conveyance roller to convey a conveyed object, a pair of roller supports opposing to each other and supporting both ends of the conveyance roller in an axial direction thereof, a position sensor to detect a position of the conveyed object, and a sensor support supporting the position sensor. Each of the pair of roller supports has an insertion hole into which the sensor support is inserted. The insertion hole determines a position of the sensor support in a direction intersecting an insertion direction of the sensor support. The sensor support includes a positioning portion determining the position of the sensor support with respect to at least one of the pair of roller supports. The positioning portion determines the position of the sensor support in the insertion direction, a direction opposite to the insertion direction, and a rotational direction about an axis along the insertion direction.

The controller executes: an image forming process of conveying the sheet medium by the conveyor and forming the image on the sheet medium by the image forming part, and a cutting process of moving the cutting part. In a case where the sheet medium has not been cut even though the cutting process was executed during image formation on the sheet medium in the image forming process, the controller continues the image formation without interruption and causes the reporting part to report information regarding a failure of cutting of the sheet medium.

The pressing section varies the second pressing force in such a way that the second pressing force when the first transport roller pair transports the material but the second transport roller pair does not transport the material becomes lower than the second pressing force when neither the first transport roller pair nor the second transport roller pair transports the material.
