摘要: A method of fining glass is disclosed that includes flowing a molten glass bath through a fining chamber. The molten glass bath has an undercurrent that flows beneath a skimmer that is partially submerged in the molten glass bath. One or more fining agents are introduced into the undercurrent of the molten glass bath directly beneath the skimmer from a dissolvable fining material component. In this way, the fining agent(s) may selectively target the gas bubbles drawn under the skimmer within the undercurrent of the molten glass for removal. The method may be employed to fine molten gas produced in a submerged combustion melter. A fining vessel for fining molten glass is also disclosed that includes a housing, a skimmer, and a dissolvable fining material component disposed directly beneath the skimmer.

摘要: The present invention relates to plasma-resistant glass containing 32-52 mol % of SiO2, 5-15 mol % of Al2O3, 30-35 mol % of CaO, and 0.1-15 mol % of CaF2 as chemical components, and a manufacturing method thereof. According to the present invention, a glass stability index KH is 2.0 or higher, and a plasma-resistant characteristic of an etch rate of lower than 10 nm/min for a mixed plasma of fluorine and argon (Ar) is exhibited.

Also disclosed herein is a glass fiber including the glass composition.

摘要: A glass material with low viscosity and a low bubble content attributable to a low weight percentage of silicon dioxide includes boron trioxide (B2O3), magnesium oxide (MgO). aluminum oxide (Al2O3), and calcium oxide (CaO) in addition to silicon dioxide (SiO2); wherein Silicon dioxide (SiO2) constitutes 45%˜51% by weight of the glass material, boron trioxide (B2O3) 25%˜35%, magnesium oxide (MgO) 0.01%˜2%, aluminum oxide (Al2O3) 10%˜14.5%, and calcium oxide (CaO) 4%˜10%. As the silicon dioxide (SiO2) content is lower than in the prior art, the glass material has lower viscosity, and hence a lower bubble content, than in the prior art, and this allows products made of the glass material to have a higher yield than products made of the conventional glass.
