摘要: The present invention describes a process for the production of (−)-cannabidiol (CBD) from industrial hemp by means of an extraction followed by two alternative working processes: a process A which provides extraction with solvents first to an alkaline pH and then to acidic pH to isolate the carboxyl form of the CBD which is then subjected to decarboxylation and a process B which provides the elimination of waxes and pitches and then purification by chromatography. At the end of both alternative working processes the CBD is crystallized obtained in high purity crystalline form.

摘要: Disclosed herein are systems and methods of depolymerizing a lignin component of a lignin-containing material. The method comprising contacting the lignin-containing material with a solvent and optionally a catalyst at a temperature in the range of 180-300° C. and at a maximum operating pressure of less than 10 barG during the depolymerization of the lignin component of the material and collecting at least one volatile stream comprising one or more depolymerized lignin products. In an embodiment, the step of contacting is carried out in a reactive distillation reactor, and the step of collecting comprises concurrently collecting at least one volatile stream via distillation apparatus connected to the reactive distillation reactor, at least one of the one or more depolymerized lignin products comprises a substituted phenol having the following general formula: (I) wherein R1 is H, methyl, ethyl, n-propyl, propenyl, or allyl, and R2 and R3 are independently selected from H or methoxy group.

摘要: Δ9-Tetrahydrocannabinol (Δ9-THC or THC) and cannabidiol (CBD) are major constituents of the Cannabis plant that have pharmacological properties with potential therapeutic value. This invention is directed to processes for large scale isolation of these two and other cannabinoids from the Cannabis sativa plant. This is accomplished through the discovery that protected amino acid esters of the cannabinoids are easier to separate using normal phase silica column chromatography. Mild base hydrolysis of the esters regenerates the free cannabinoids in a purified form. The invention is also applicable to the isolation of other cannabinoids from Cannabis extracts.

摘要: A method of generating an oligosaccharide encapsulated cannabidiol (CBD) formulation includes forming a cannabidiol ethanol mixture comprising ethanol and cannabidiol, forming an oligosaccharide CBD slurry by mixing the oligosaccharide with the cannabidiol ethanol mixture. The slurry is heated and mixed in a pressurized chamber to form a colloidal mixture, which is distributed into a tray as a layer. A cover is added to the tray to form an evaporation vessel, which is heated in a heating chamber. A rapid cooling process is performed on the colloidal mixture layer by removing the cover and spraying pulverized dry ice on the layer. The rapid cooling process is repeated until crystal formation is detected within the layer, the crystals including oligosaccharide encapsulated cannabidiol. An oligosaccharide encapsulated cannabidiol formulation includes cannabidiol and at least one oligosaccharide in a ratio in the range between about 1000:1 to 2200:1 (w/w) of CBD.
