摘要: Methods and apparatus for de-gasification of vehicle cooling system using a coolant bottle are disclosed. The coolant bottle may include a coolant entrance port configured to be in fluid communication with the vehicle cooling system, and a coolant egress port configured to be in fluid communication with the vehicle cooling system. The coolant egress port is directly connected to the vehicle cooling system. The coolant bottle may further include a plurality of baffle plates placed to divide an interior of the coolant bottle into a plurality of coolant channels. Each baffle plate may include a plurality of apertures configured to provide fluid communication between the plurality of coolant channels.

The main body can have an inlet and an outlet to receive/pass a coolant on a first side thereof. The main body can have a fluid inlet and fluid outlet configured to receive a fluid. The main body can pass the fluid in a heat exchange relationship with the coolant. The manifold can be coupled to the main body on a second side. The manifold can be in fluid communication with a main coolant outlet passage to receive a portion of the coolant from the main body. The one or more outlet ports can be fluidly connected to the manifold and passing the portion of the coolant to one or more engine auxiliary systems.

摘要: A method of modifying the oil cooling system of a diesel engine includes the steps of removing the original equipment liquid-to-liquid heat exchanger and installing a manifold having a configuration adapted to match the mounting configuration of the oil passages of the original equipment liquid-to-liquid heat exchanger. The manifold has an oil outlet port directed to a remotely mounted oil cooler. The manifold also has a water passage having a configuration that is adapted to match the mounting configuration of the water passages of the original equipment liquid-to-liquid heat exchanger. The water passage causes the entirety of the flow of water to be discharged back to the water cooling system of the engine where it is circulated by the water pump through the water cooling passages in the engine.

摘要: There is provided an engine equipped with a supercharger that suppresses heat deterioration of engine oil. The engine equipped with a supercharger includes a supercharger; an oil supply passage that supplies engine oil to a shaft bearing part of the supercharger; an oil discharge passage that discharges the engine oil from the shaft bearing part of the supercharger; and a water-cooling-type oil cooler. The water-cooling-type oil cooler is provided in the oil discharge passage, and the engine oil discharged from the shaft bearing part of the supercharger is cooled by the engine cooling water that passes the water-cooling-type oil cooler. The engine cooling water is desirably supplied from the cylinder jacket to the water-cooling-type oil cooler.

摘要: A governing system of an engine coolant control system in which first and second portions of coolant are pumped from an engine to a regulator and back to the engine and from the engine to a radiator and back to the engine, respectively, is provided. The governing system includes a temperature sensor of the engine to sense coolant temperatures, an ambient temperature sensor of the radiator to sense ambient temperatures, a heating element disposed to heat the first portion of the coolant at one of a location upstream from the regulator and the regulator, a valve operably disposed along a section of piping through which the first portion of the coolant flows from the engine to the regulator and a controller which controls operations of the heating element and the valve in accordance with the readings of the temperature sensor of the engine and the ambient temperature sensor.

摘要: A combustion-chamber structure of an engine comprises a combustion chamber which is partitioned by a cylinder block, a cylinder head, and a piston. The piston includes a piston body having an upper surface facing the combustion chamber, a heat-insulation layer provided at least in a central area, in a radial direction, of the upper surface and having smaller heat conductivity than the piston body, a heat-barrier layer provided to cover the upper surface and having smaller heat conductivity than the piston body and the heat-insulation layer, and a heat-diffusion layer provided between the heat-insulation layer and the heat-barrier layer and having larger heat conductivity than the heat-insulation layer and the heat-barrier layer. The heat-diffusion layer comprises a side end edge and an extension portion which contact with the piston body.
