    Abstract: A power transmission drive includes a force amplifier configured to increase power output of at least one motor. The force amplifier includes a first pulley set and a second pulley set, each pulley set including at least one floating pulley and at least one fixed pulley. The first pulley set and the second pulley set are coupled to one or more motors by a corresponding force amplification fiber in tension. Actuation of the one or more motors actuate the first pulley set and the second pulley set. The first pulley set and the second pulley set transmit the force applied by the one or more motors to an output component.

    Abstract: A ballscrew actuator comprises a ballnut having at least one first helical groove formed on a radially inner surface and defining an axis (X), a ballscrew disposed along the axis (X) within the ballnut, the ballscrew having at least one second helical groove formed on a radially outer surface and opposed to the first helical groove so as to form at least one helical raceway and a plurality of balls or rolling elements disposed in the at least one helical raceway. The ballscrew is movable relative to the ballnut between a stowed position and a deployed position. The ballscrew comprises a ballscrew bore extending axially therein. A lubrication piston is mounted for sliding movement within the ballscrew bore and divides the ballscrew bore axially into a lubricant receiving portion and a pressurising portion.

    Abstract: In a parking lock for an automatic transmission, an electrical parking lock actuator has an electric motor, a spur gear stage driveable by the electric motor, and a worm gear stage driveable by the spur gear stage. A worm shaft of the worm gear stage is connected rotationally conjointly to an output gear of the spur gear stage, and a worm gear of the worm gear stage is connected rotationally conjointly to a transmission-side parking lock shaft. The worm shaft is fixed in an axially displaceable manner in the output gear. A stop limits the pivoting movement of the worm gear when a parking lock position of the parking lock shaft is reached. A spring braces the worm shaft in an axial direction of the worm shaft against a holding mechanism which is situated in a stop position, in which the holding mechanism is fixed by an electrically energized electromagnet.

    Abstract: An articulation assembly includes a proximal joint, a distal joint, a joint housing, and a plunger. The proximal joint is configured to couple to a central section of a drive shaft and to rotate in response to rotation of the drive shaft. The distal joint is rotatably coupled to the proximal joint such that rotation of the proximal joint effects rotation of the distal joint. The distal joint is configured to couple to a distal section of a drive shaft to rotate the distal section in response to rotation of the distal joint. The joint housing is disposed over the proximal and distal joints. The distal joint is rotatable relative to the joint housing. The plunger is engaged with the joint housing to prevent the joint housing from rotating from a centered position until the distal joint reaches a maximum articulation angle.

    Abstract: An adjuster mechanism includes a housing having a neck and an adjustment shaft extending from the housing. The adjustment shaft is engageable in a reflector of a headlamp. An input shaft extends through the neck of the housing and rotation thereof causes movement of the adjustment shaft. At least one lobe is situated on the input shaft so as to create a non-circular interference fit that establishes a resistance to rotation of the input shaft.

    Abstract: An apparatus for opening and closing a deck lid of a vehicle body includes a jack-screw type drive unit having two elongated relatively rotatable drive elements which are threadably engaged for bi-directional displacement. An electric motor engages the rotatable drive element. A first mounting device pivotally connects the rotatable drive element to a relatively fixed point on the vehicle. A second mounting device pivotally connects the non-rotatable drive element to the deck lid, or vice versa. The motor is energized to affect bi-directional control of the drive unit while enabling low back-drive effort. A concentric spring counters loading due to the weight of the deck lid.
