A furnace having a chamber, which is provided with a burner arrangement for generating heat and a tube arrangement for conduction of a hot gas or steam through the furnace, is also provided.

摘要: The present disclosure provides a method for reducing ovality in pipe for joining to pipe components by using a plug coupled on an inside surface of the pipe and a sacrificial component coupled to the end of the pipe to establish a coupling interface. The plug, the sacrificial component, or a combination thereof assists in minimizing ovality changes during use of the pipe, particularly at the end of the pipe. When the pipe is to be coupled with a pipe component, the pipe and sacrificial component are separated at a different location than the coupling interface along the pipe in proximity to the plug. The plug is left coupled to the sacrificial component, and generally slidably engaged with the pipe. The plug and the sacrificial component can be removed from engagement with the pipe. The pipe and the pipe component can be coupled together.

摘要: In an exhaust pipe connecting structure of a muffler, a through-hole 11a that penetrates one side wall portion of an outer shell 11 has a diameter larger than an outer diameter of an inlet pipe 2. The inlet pipe 2 is fixed at its portion corresponding to the through-hole 11a with a reinforcement-spacer member 3 having a cylindrical portion 31 that is gas-tightly connected with an outer circumferential surface of a projecting portion of the inlet pipe 2 and a flange portion 32 that projects outwardly from a through-hole side edge portion of the cylindrical portion 31. The flange portion 32 of the reinforcement-spacer member 3 is fixed by welding on an outer surface of the outer shell 11 all around the through-hole 11a. The cylindrical portion 31 of the reinforcement-spacer member 3 is fixed by welding on an outer circumferential surface of the inlet pipe 2 all around thereof. A stay 4 is provided with an insertion hole 41 coaxial with the cylindrical portion 31 of the reinforcement-spacer member 3 in a hollow part of the muffler main body, flange portions 43 at both end portion of a basal plate portion 42 of the stay 4 is fixed by welding on an inner surface of the outer shell 11. An end portion of the inlet pipe 2 is supported in a state where the end portion thereof is inserted in the insertion hole 41 of the stay 4.

摘要: An object of the present invention is to provide a pipe joint device, according to which two pipe members can be easily connected and disassembled without causing the abrupt discharge of the fluid from the pipe members. A ring shaped first retaining member is mounted on a second pipe member and comprises; a ring portion; multiple leg portions axially extending from the ring portion and circumferentially arranged at equal intervals; and multiple first retaining portions formed at each free end of the leg portions and projecting radially and inwardly, so that the first retaining portions are inserted into apertures of the second pipe member. The above first retaining portions return to the initial shape after a first pipe member has been completely inserted into the second pipe member, so that the first pipe member is axially retained by the first retaining portions at an outwardly expanded portion of the first pipe member.

摘要: A gimballed conduit connector for connecting two conduits transporting high temperature and pressure fluids. Rings having two parallel tabs are attached to the ends of two conduits that are to be connected. A coupler ring between the two tabbed rings has four tab pockets through which four pins are inserted to provide axles for the rotatable retention of the tabbed rings in the connector ring. A bellows around the rings seals the connection. Optimum flexibility and life of the connector is achieved by the gimballed pin and tab system and selection of high flexibility materials and dimensions for the bellows.
