    摘要: The invention relates to a process for producing a thermoplastic moulding compound comprising a thermoplastic copolymer A and a graft copolymer B (4), comprising: continuously drying the dewatered graft copolymer B (4) by supplying a drying gas (3) and the dewatered graft copolymer B (4), by moving the dewatered graft copolymer B (4) through the drying gas (3) and forming a fluidized bed (5), the drying gas (3) having a feed temperature TG,feed in the range from 50° C. to 160° C., and by removing dried graft copolymer B (4) and an offgas (7), wherein i. a starting temperature Tin of the fluidized bed (5) on feeding (9) of the dewatered graft copolymer B (4) is measured, ii. a finish temperature Tout of the fluidized bed (5) on removal (11) of the dried graft copolymer B (4) and/or of the offgas (7) is measured, iii. a difference ΔTact between the finish temperature Tout and the starting temperature Tin is formed and the difference ΔTact is compared with a target value ΔTtarget, and iv. the finish temperature Tout is adjusted by—increasing a mass flow rate of drying gas (3) supplied and/or the feed temperature TG,feed of the drying gas (3) when the difference ΔTact is smaller than the target value ΔTtarget or—reducing a mass flow rate of drying gas (3) supplied and/or the feed temperature TG,feed of the drying gas (3) when the difference ΔTact is greater than the target value ΔTtarget.

The coated reflective particulate material may have a relative error of an amount of the coating on the particulate substrate of about 5% to about 15%, and/or a dust index of about 5 or lower, and/or a staining loss of about 8% to about 11%. A method of manufacturing the reflective particulate material comprises mixing the particulate substrate with a liquid coating composition to form a wet particulate mixture, passing the wet particulate mixture through at least one heat zone to remove water and/or moisture, and curing the coating material in the coating composition.

    摘要: A flowable solid material, such as wet-milled corn germ, is continuously fed into the upper portion of a large vessel having a cylindrical shell with a vertical axis and a series of vertically spaced horizontal decks. Each deck has concentrically spaced annular zones of holes or perforations, and heated air from a set of blowers and a gas-fired or steam heat exchanger is forced countercurrently or upwardly through the perforations to produce a recirculating bed of material above each deck with an upward spouting flow of the material above the zones of perforations and a downward flow of material between the zones of perforations. The recirculating material forming the lower beds is also heated by cylindrical steam heat exchangers which extend vertically between the zones of perforations, and the material is fed downwardly through the vessel in a serpentine-like path to form the beds and for discharge from the lowermost bed. Sweep arms rotate above the decks and below the heat exchangers, and after the heated air flowing upwardly through the decks and beds absorbs moisture from the material, the air is exhausted to a dual cyclone separator. The separator collects solid particles within the exhaust air, and the clean exhaust air is directed from the separator back to the blowers to form a closed cycle operation.

    摘要: The invention resides in one embodiment in a multiple effect method of and apparatus for drying a solid material containing a vaporizable material which comprises establishing at least first and second fluidized beds containing the solid material in which in at least the first fluidized bed the fluidizing medium is the vaporizable material in vapor form and in which the fluidized beds are heated indirectly, such that vaporizable material is removed from the solid material, the vaporizable material removed from the solid material in the first fluidized bed being used to provide the indirect heating of the second fluidized bed.The invention resides in another aspect in a method of drying a solid material containing a vaporizable material which comprises establishing a fluidized bed containing the solid material in which the fluidizing medium is the vaporizable material in vapor form and in which the fluidized bed is heated indirectly by vaporizable material in the form of a saturated vapor, such that vaporizable material is removed from the solid material, the removed vaporizable material being fed to a steam generator wherein it is used to produce clean saturated steam by heating the condensate from indirect heating of the fluidized bed.
