摘要: An arrangement includes a pipeline and a Coriolis volumetric flow meter for measuring a mass flow rate of a medium flowing through the pipeline. A first pressure sensor is attached at an inlet-side of the pipeline and a second pressure sensor is attached at an outlet-side of the pipeline, or wherein a differential pressure sensor is configured to detect a difference between an inlet-side and an outlet-side. The pressure sensors and/or the differential pressure sensor are configured to measure a media pressure and to determine, for each differential pressure, a volumetric flow velocity of the medium through the pipeline. A first monitoring sensor is attached at an inlet-side portion of the pipeline and a second monitoring sensor is attached at an outlet-side portion of the pipeline, wherein the monitoring sensors are configured to monitor a measurement variable different from the media pressure to identify a static media state.

摘要: A method for determining a flowed amount of a medium includes using a first flow measuring transducer according to a first measuring principle and a second flow measuring transducer according to a second measuring principle. The measured values of the first transducer are more reliable in first states of the medium than measured values of the second transducer, and the second measured values are more reliable in second states than the first measured values. A contribution to the flowed amount is ascertained based on the more reliable measured values. The contribution to the flowed amount based on the second measured values is ascertained via a transfer function. An updated version of the transfer function is ascertained when the first measured values are more reliable, and the flowed amount earlier ascertained based on the second measured values is corrected as a function of the updated transfer function.

摘要: A flow sensor configured to measure the flow of a fluid flowing through a tubular structure comprises a first detection unit that is configured to detect flows above a predefined lower flow level representing the lowest flow that can be measured by the first detection unit and a second detection unit that is configured to estimate the flow below the lower flow level (on the basis of the temperature difference between the surroundings and a fluid). The second detection unit is configured to estimate the flow below the lower flow level on the basis of one or more measurements made in a flow-calibration-area in which the flow sensor can detect the flow and in which the flow depends on the temperature difference.

摘要: A vortex flowmeter includes a housing having an interior cavity, a vortex shedder supported by the housing and extending into the interior cavity, an ultrasonic sensor, a bending moment sensor and a controller. The ultrasonic sensor is configured to produce an ultrasonic flow rate output that is indicative of the flow rate of a fluid flow through the interior cavity. The bending moment sensor is configured to produce a bending moment flow rate output that is indicative of the flow rate of the fluid flow through the interior cavity. The controller is configured to generate a flow rate measurement that is indicative of the flow rate based on the ultrasonic flow rate output and/or the bending moment flow rate output.

摘要: A method is provided to measure a distribution of axial velocities and a flowrate in a pipe or a vessel. The method comprises selecting a single cross-section at a stable-flow segment in a pipe or a vessel, installing a plurality of acoustic wave sensors along a peripheral wall of the pipe or the vessel to form a plurality of effective sound wave paths; measuring sound wave travelling time on each sound wave path; substituting the measured sound wave travelling time data into the model formulas based on a sound path refraction principle for reconstruction calculation to obtain a distribution of axial velocity in the measured cross-section of the pipe or the vessel, u(x,y); and integrating the distribution of the axial velocity u(x,y) along the cross-section to obtain a flow rate. A system is also provided to measure an axial velocity distribution and a flow rate in a pipe.

摘要: An apparatus for testing of downhole multiphase fluid handling systems used in oil and gas production allows test personnel to visually observe the testing. The apparatus is constructed from housings and/or casings made partly or entirely of a see-through material. The see-through material allows for unaided visual observation of the flow regime of the fluid flowing through fluid handling equipment. This eliminates most all of the assumptions that typically need to be made about how well the equipment operates. The ability to clearly observe the flow regimes unassisted allows for accurate study of individual equipment effects, vortices interactions and formation, the effects of different velocities of fluid flow, the optimization of flow paths, remixing and flow regimes external of a system, slug creation, and other parameters known to those skilled in the art.

摘要: A system is provided for tracking, in a distributed water infrastructure, water usage by category. The system may comprise at least one processor configured to receive from at least one sensor associated with the distributed water infrastructure signals indicative of water usage in the distributed water infrastructure. The system may, based on the signals indicative of water usage, construct a plurality of profiles. The system may assign each profile to one of a plurality of water usage categories. The system may collect, from the at least one sensor, signals indicative of water usage for substantially all water delivered through the distributed water infrastructure in a time period. The system may construct a plurality of water usage profiles in the aggregate, encompassing substantially all water delivered through the distributed water infrastructure in the time period. The system may assign each constructed water usage profile to one of the plurality of water usage categories. The system may output, for display, water usage for the time period for each of the plurality of water usage categories.

摘要: A computer-implemented method for visualizing uncertainty in flow measurements is provided. A non-limiting exemplary method includes reading, by a processor, a plurality of fluid flow measurements having a magnitude, a direction, and a location. The method plots a plurality of points on a first polar graph, each point representing the difference in fluid flow measurements between two of the plurality of fluid flow measurements at different locations and calculates an uncertainty boundary line based on the plurality of plotted points. The method filters, by the processor, the plurality of plotted points to remove plotted points outside of the uncertainty boundary line leaving only remaining plotted points and defines at least one cluster of remaining plotted points based on similar behavior of a subset of the remaining plotted points. The method may use the remaining plotted points to provide adaptive setup to tune a response in the fluid flow measurements.
