摘要: A method of assessing a bodily fluid sample on a test strip may involve applying a periodic signal with a first electrode located at a first location in a microfluidic channel of the test strip, monitoring the applied periodic signal with a second electrode located at a second location in the microfluidic channel, and using a third electrode located at a third location in the microfluidic channel as a reference electrode. The method may also include: collecting the bodily fluid sample in the microfluidic channel; continuing to apply the periodic signal, monitor the periodic signal and use the third electrode as a reference electrode while collecting the bodily fluid sample; and determining that the bodily fluid sample is sufficient for analyzing, based at least in part on the applied and monitored periodic signal.

摘要: A viscometer includes a viscosity sensor with a liquid flow channel and at least two pressure sensors positioned along the liquid flow channel and configured to measure a pressure drop of a liquid flowing through the liquid flow channel, and a dispensing mechanism configured to cause dispensing of a liquid from the syringe to the viscosity sensor at a known flow rate. The dispensing mechanism and the viscosity sensor are configured to couple with a syringe configured to contain a liquid. The viscometer further includes an electronic controller configured to control operations of the dispensing mechanism and receive and process data from the viscosity sensor. The viscometer includes a sample loading interface, included in the syringe, through which the viscometer is configured to receive the liquid. The sample loading interface includes a selection valve coupled with, and located between, the viscosity sensor and the syringe.

摘要: Systems and method determine a fluid efficiency of a fluid that flows through a fluid power system. Characteristics of the fluid is monitored in real-time as the fluid flows through the fluid monitoring device that is coupled to the fluid power system as the fluid flows through the fluid power system. A fluid status is determined in real-time that is associated with fluid parameters of the fluid that is determined from the fluid parameters detected by the fluid monitoring device. The fluid status of the fluid is determined in real-time when the fluid status indicates that a corrective action is to be executed to increase a quality of the fluid and an assessment of the corrective action that is to be executed is generated based on the fluid parameters. Degradation of the components of the fluid power system increases without the corrective action being executed to the fluid.

摘要: The apparatus for testing the stability of dispersed particles in flowing suspensions includes a sample receiving cup having a lower wall and an open upper end. A cup outlet is disposed in the lower wall, and the sample receiving cup is adapted for receiving a suspension sample through the open upper end. A pump is in fluid communication with the sample receiving cup through the cup outlet. The pump extracts the suspension sample through the cup outlet to produce a pressurized suspension stream. A recirculation pipe has a pipe inlet and a pipe outlet, the pipe inlet being in fluid communication with the pump for receiving the pressurized suspension stream, and the pipe outlet returns the pressurized suspension stream to the sample receiving cup, through the open upper end thereof. A power monitor is in communication with the pump for monitoring the power output of the pump.

摘要: A time-varying detecting device and method for concrete rheological parameters, in which the double-covered cylinder has top and bottom covers (11, 12), both of which can be freely opened, is configured to contain a concrete sample, and a lifting frame includes a pair of vertical supports (21) extending in parallel with each other. The double-covered cylindrical container is held between the pair of vertical supports (21) by means of connecting members (30) in such a manner that it can be flipped 180° about a straight line along which the connecting members (30) extend under the action of an external force. To perform a test, the top cover (11) is opened and a concrete mix is filled in, followed by detecting initial rheological parameters. The top cover (11) is closed, and the concrete mix is left for a predetermined period of time. The double-covered cylindrical container is lifted to a predetermined height by raising the connecting members (30), flipped 180° and lowered back onto the floor. The bottom cover (12) is opened, and the concrete mix is re-mixed and homogenized, followed by finally detecting the time-varying rheological parameters of the concrete mix.

摘要: A method for determining a suitability of a lubricant to avoid false brinelling damage in a bearing includes providing a rheometer and the lubricant, performing a first conditioning of the rheometer, filling the rheometer with a first lubricant sample, and deforming the first lubricant sample to determine a first shear stress from a first shear deformation of the first lubricant sample at the first temperature, with reference to the first zero point. The method also includes performing a second conditioning of the rheometer, refilling the rheometer with a second lubricant sample, and deforming the second lubricant sample to determine a second shear stress from a second shear deformation of the second lubricant sample at the second temperature, with reference to the second zero point. The lubricant is classified as suitable or unsuitable for avoiding false brinelling damage as a function of the first shear stress and the second shear stress.
