    摘要: Processing sound signals acquired by a microphone, for example an ambisonic type, to locate a sound source in a space including at least one wall. A time-frequency transform is applied to the acquired signals, and, from the acquired signals, a velocity vector, complex with real and imaginary parts, is expressed in the frequency domain, wherein the velocity vector characterizes a composition between: a first acoustic path, direct between the source and the microphone, represented by a first vector; and a second acoustic path resulting from a reflection on the wall and represented by a second vector. The second path has a first delay with respect to the direct path. Depending on the first delay and the first and second vectors, a parameter is determined from among a direction of the direct path, a distance from the source to the microphone, and a distance from the source to said wall.

    摘要: A radio receiver is made much more immune to jamming signals. A vector EM sensor, in a 2-dimensional (3-axis sensor) or 3-dimensional (6-axis sensor) sensor configuration, is combined with a unique digital rotation to a preferred direction to create a new reference channel and, using an advanced frequency domain noise mitigation algorithm or other noise cancellation algorithm, can effectively reject jamming and other interference signals and improve the signal-to-noise ratio (20-40 dB) and the receiving performance of the receiver. The method can cancel both near-field and far-field interference and improve accuracy for various applications concerned with establishing the direction, or bearing, to a source. A communication receiver with the vector sensor and the cancellation algorithm has unique anti-jamming capabilities even for multiple jamming sources.

    摘要: A speech translation apparatus includes: an estimator which estimates a sound source direction, based on an acoustic signal obtained by a microphone array unit; a controller which identifies that an utterer is a user or a conversation partner, based on the sound source direction estimated after the start of translation is instructed by a button, using a positional relationship indicated by a layout information item stored in storage and selected in advance, and determines a translation direction indicating input and output languages in and into which content of the acoustic signal is recognized and translated, respectively; and a translator which obtains, according to the translation direction, original text indicating the content in the input language and translated text indicating the content in the output language. The controller displays the original and translated texts on first and second display areas corresponding to the positions of the user and conversation partner, respectively.

The mobile communication device is configured to transmit and receive acoustic signals.
