    摘要: A pneumatic amplifier is disclosed having a body, the body with two opposed heads, a sensor head, and a valve head. An air direction chamber is defined interiorly of the two heads and body, and is separated from the sensing chamber by means of a sealed piston. The piston is actuated at one side by means of back pressure on a jet orifice which is connected to a sensor supply, and the back pressure is translated into a movement of the flexible piston. In the valve chamber, a dart valve is actuated on one end by the piston, and its cone at the other end seats in a valve seat in pneumatic connection with the valve head. The valve head has a signal supply which, when not by-passed through the dart and its associated valve, passes out through a signal tube to actuate a signal device, whether ultimately pneumatic, electric, hydraulic, or other source of power. Optionally a diaphragm type piston is employed. The dart is formed of plastic having three or more vanes, the same seating within an air direction chamber but in loose fit pneumatically suspendable relationship thereto. The valve body also optionally has a manifold which diverts the signal supply to the signal tube responsive to the operation of the dart.

    摘要: A pneumatically operated pilot relay having an outlet for sending a pneumatic pilot output when the pilot relay receives a pneumatic signal of a certain magnitude, the pilot relay having a selector for selecting within limits the magnitude of the pneumatic signal that is required for the pilot relay to produce the pneumatic pilot output. The pilot relay terminates the pneumatic pilot output when the pneumatic signal falls to another certain magnitude, the other certain magnitude being a fixed differential from the selected magnitude thereof. When utilized in a pneumatic control system along with a diverting valve, the pneumatic output from the pilot relay will switch the diverting valve from one operating condition thereof to another operating condition thereof with a snap action and when the pilot output is terminated, the diverting valve switches back from the other operating condition thereof to the one operating condition thereof with a snap action, such snap action being without regard to the rate of change of the input signal.

    摘要: A method and an apparatus are provided for autotuning a parameter of a PID controller which is employed in a transfer function. The method includes steps of (a) providing a first specific value for the transfer function; (b) computing a first ultimate parameter of the transfer function in response to the first specific value; (c) modifying the first specific value in response to the first ultimate parameter in order to obtain a second specific value; (d) generating a second ultimate parameter for a characteristic of the transfer function in a specified range in response to the second specific value; (e) obtaining a precise parameter of the PID controller in response to the second ultimate parameter. The autotuning apparatus includes; a controlled device outputting a first ultimate parameter and a second ultimate parameter, respectively in response to a first input signal and a second input signal; a nonlinear element connected to the controlled device, and outputting a first specific signal and a second specific signal in response to a first ultimate parameter; and a control unit connected to the nonlinear element, wherein the nonlinear element outputs the second input signal to cause the controlled device to output to the PID controller the second ultimate parameter for a specific characteristic of the controlled device in a specific range in order to obtain a precise parameter for the PID controller.

    摘要: A pneumatic output signal limiting device utilizing a planar-type construction having a balance beam with a passage extending through the area of its pivotal axis to provide communication between side-by-side chambers and arranged so that the balance beam moves into contact with a valve in the output chamber to close the passage and further movement in the same direction open a vent. In operation, the output signal equals the input signal when the input signal is within one limit of a preselected output signal operating range. When the input signal equals the limit, the passage is closed and the output signal is maintained equal to the limit. The passage remains closed when the input is outside the limit and the output signal is maintained equal to the limit until the input signal is a preselected value outside the limit. Then the balance beam moves in the same direction to open the vent and reduce the output signal to the vent pressure. The device may be arranged for limiting either the high or the low limit of the preselected output signal operating range.

    摘要: A pneumatic control system having a source of control fluid providing two different control pressure levels for respectively switching the control device of the system from one operating condition thereof to another operating condition thereof, the control device comprising a pair of condition controller means each having a sensor and a bleed-type pneumatic valve operated thereby together with relay means operatively interconnected to the source for directing a branch signal of the control fluid to a pneumatically operated device in relation to a pilot signal directed to a pilot chamber of the relay means by one of the control means. First and second passage means are adapted to respectively interconnect the source to the valves of the control means, a pressure responsive means being disposed in the first passage means for preventing fluid communication therethrough when the source is at one pressure level and permitting fluid communication therethrough when the source is at its other pressure level. A switching means is provided in a third passage means and has one position for interconnecting only the second passage means to the pilot chamber whereby the pilot signal for the relay means is provided only by one of the controller means and having another position for interconnecting only the first passage means to the pilot chamber whereby the pilot signal or relay means is provided only by the other controller means.
