    摘要: A pneumatic control system having a source of control fluid providing two different control pressure levels for respectively switching the control device of the system from one operating condition thereof to another operating condition thereof, the control device comprising a pair of condition controller means each having a sensor and a bleed-type pneumatic valve operated thereby together with relay means operatively interconnected to the source for directing a branch signal of the control fluid to a pneumatically operated device in relation to a pilot signal directed to a pilot chamber of the relay means by one of the control means. First and second passage means are adapted to respectively interconnect the source to the valves of the control means, a pressure responsive means being disposed in the first passage means for preventing fluid communication therethrough when the source is at one pressure level and permitting fluid communication therethrough when the source is at its other pressure level. A switching means is provided in a third passage means and has one position for interconnecting only the second passage means to the pilot chamber whereby the pilot signal for the relay means is provided only by one of the controller means and having another position for interconnecting only the first passage means to the pilot chamber whereby the pilot signal or relay means is provided only by the other controller means.

    摘要: This disclosure relates to a pneumatic relay comprising a housing carrying three diaphragms in stacked relation that cooperate therewith and define a main pressure chamber, a branch pressure chamber, an exhaust chamber and a pilot pressure chamber in stacked relation with the housing having a stationary valve seat for interconnecting the main chamber and the branch chamber together. One of the outboard diaphragms opens and closes the valve seat and the intermediate diaphragm has an opening therethrough for interconnecting the branch chamber and the exhaust chamber together. A movable valve member is disposed in the branch chamber and projects into the valve seat for controlling the opening in the intermediate diaphragm by preventing fluid communication between the branch chamber and the exhaust chamber when the valve member is engaged by both the intermediate diaphragm and the one outboard diaphragm and by permitting fluid communication between the branch chamber and the exhaust chamber when the valve member is not engaged by one of the one outboard diaphragm and the intermediate diaphragm.

    摘要: A double-acting spring link means for a pressure gage, the link means having a slot therein receiving a slide member adapted to be operated by the movable part of the actuating element of the gage while being slidable and pivotable in the slot. The link means has a spring means operatively associated with the slide member to normally cause the slide member and link means to move in unison to cause normal movements of the movable part of the actuating element to be directly transmitted to the indicating pointer of the gage, the spring means minimizing rapid movements of the movable part of the actuating element that would be adversely imposed on the gear train means and bearings of the gage by causing pivotal and sliding movement of the sliding member in the slot to take up the rapid movement of the movable part of the actuating element.

[Also in Divisions B8, F1 and F2) A high pressure cartridge 50 for a beverage dispenser is made by forming a metal slug into a cylindrical body 62 with a dividing wall 56 forming a hole 66 in the wall for a vavle 82 and curling the end of the body to form a chamber 60 for the liquefied gas, e.g. liquid carbon dioxide. The CO 2 cartridge 50 is formed by cold extruding a slug of aluminium or aluminium alloy and by machining operations. The extrusion forms a cylindrical body with an open end 64. An expanded gas chamber 140 is machined in the closed end 58 and separated from the chamber 60 by an intermediate wall 56. An opening 66 is then formed in the wall 56 and thereafter the open end 64 is curled inwards to form a reduced opening 72 which is sealed by a plug 78. A tube 80 having an intake end 82 and a discharge end 84 is secured in the opening 66 and expansion valve 86 secured in the tube. The valve is of the check-valve type and has a stem 88 and a control member 90. At the inlet of the tube 80 a liquefied gas restrictor or filter 94 is provided. The filter comprises a square bar of aluminium machined to produce straight sides (110) and curved edges (108) with tapered ends (104, 106), Figs. 7 and 8 (not shown). The bar may also be machined to have a cylindrical neck (112) and a circular head (114). The gas expansion chamber 140 has a diaphragm 92 placed adjacent its side wall 142 with its periphery held against the wall by a cup-shaped member 146. A cylindrical atmospheric pressure cavity 147 is also machined coaxially to the chambers 60, 140 and includes a threaded wall portion 147 1 into which a ring 158 is threaded to hold the member 146 tightly against the diaphragm 92.
